Thought some of you might say the same thing as me... with a view!
During a visit to the nursing home, a visitor asked the Director what the criterion was which defined whether or not a patient should be institutionalized.
"Well," said the Director, "we fill up a bathtub, then we offer a teaspoon, a teacup and a bucket to the patient and ask him or her to empty the bathtub."
"Oh, I understand," said the visitor. "A normal person would use the bucket because it's bigger than the spoon or the teacup."
"No." said the Director, "A normal person would pull the plug.Do you want a room with or without a view?"

Geeze...Don't really know what to post here.
Back in 2003, the Chicago Police Department announced a new initiative to hire 600 new police officers by the end of 2006 BY.
This application process was to be overhauled before then, which (if approved) intends to begin the application process with certain random, yet, productive psychological tests that should aid in weeding out undesireable candidates, before the City of Chicago invests in training them as candidates for the Police Officer position.
One of the tests suggested in this new process, intends to screen candidates with a pass/fail test that involves a hands-on "physical skills" examination that required 1) a bathtub, 2) a coffee cup, and 3) a five gallon bucket. To conduct this test, the City would have to supply all test equipment and materials, and stage this test in a fair and impartial manner.
Just to be fair here, folks, another "physical" test suggested was later rejected because this test was deemed an "invasive examination."
Could be, I suppose, but I had no problem with it myself.
Just a quick peek in the mouth (say ahhh), followed by the customary "drop trousers" instructions, to determine the "missing tooth-to-tattoo" ratio.
Worked for me, but I'm not a Boss.
Just between y'all and me, I also favored the "where is your car registered" feedback from the application link. Anyone who used an address of one of the seven CPD tow yards failed. Also, any caller ID numbers showing "888.888.8008" should also fail, these are pay phones in the Cook County Jail.
Anyway...This "bathub" proposal passed the PDs exempt command staff review (I thought it was cool), and later won the full approval of the City Council. It made it to the Mayor's desk, where it faced a final veto.
Rather than over-react, the Mayor sent it all back to the Superintendent of Police, who looked at it one more time. Meanwhile, while this proposal traveled through this breaucratic red tape, one Superintendent retired, and another Superintendent was sworn into this office.
The Superintendent on duty when the proposal crossed his desk, returned this proposal to the Mayor, asking him to veto it. "Nuke this *****" if I recall correctly. His added remark was..."If someone can't take a shower before applying for a job with the City, they won't work for me!"
Thus...Vetoed.
BTW...There are four classes of 200 police recruits each, planned for the 2006 BY. None of them took this test.
I'm real glad 2006 is my last year of service.
"And, so it goes..."
