OEM Mopar CD/Cassette combo unit ...... CD changer controls + RDS features(one of their best units I believe).
I believe they have been using a similar design radio since the late 90's.
Should this thing be making such a racket when first engaging/dis-engaging a cassette ?. IMHO ... there is waaaaaaaaaaay too much clicking & snapping going on. I would think a unit such as this would be of higher quality - and such noisy behavior is NOT normal. Sounds like something is about to go fubar in there ..... but I really have NO other experience with these radios to make a 100% accurate conclusion. Cassette play & function(FF-RW etc etc) fine otherwise.
