I need a little help with a project I am working on. I'm trying to install a Marauder crate engine into my '03 Crown Vic and need help locating an EEC module. My parts department tells me that I will need a vin# and a catch code before they can order me one. Is there an aftermarket source that I can use or do I need to somehow come up with that information?
Any help would be greatly appreciated, I'm lost at this point.

I have a PCM for sale, if that's what you are looking for. I believe the EEC is part of the entire module. It's of a 2003 Marauder (300A). Not sure what the PCM code is, but I believe it is JHM0.
I'm willing to sell it for $200. PM me for details.
Thanks,
Peter

I wouldn't bother trying to convert or using the MM CPU in the CV once the MM engine is installed. The stock CV computer is very capable of maneging the MM motor with no problems as long as you use the MM injectors and the MM Mass Air Meter. Once this set up is installed, a competent tuner can make the stock CV computer work with no problem.
If you go through trouble to make the MM computer work and get past all the PATs stuff I'm sure it will run OK as long as every other wiring detail is handled correctly. But from my point of view its much easier to make the CV's injector and Coil-On harness's simply stretch or extend to work along with the other connectors and sensors and tune the CV computer to work. Its much easier this way except for the tuner part of it. A lot of people don't have access to a tuner that may know how to make the CV computer run the MM motor run with out a flaw.

We have done this very thing several times here is some thing similar, what we are working on now, is a 98 Sallen with a 4.6 SOHC motor with Manual transmission, we are installing a 03 4.6 DOHC Cobra motor with blower, and we are installing a built 4R75W and we are using the stock EEC to drive the whole car and transmission, later on he wants to put a KB on it, this car. We are using the 03 Cobra tank and pump assembly, with Focus pumps installed we are installing dash 8 feed and dash 6 return line with PHP fuel rails, and a KBBAP, The 03 Cobra is a COP set up so we are installing 96 Cobra VC so we can retain the coil packs. I will post more pictures later on. Call me if I can help any time.
