Simply stated, I currently have an 89 Mustang GT that keeps breaking and plan on taking it off the road once I get out of school so i can do up the whole thing. So Im very interested in a Marauder. Are they reliable? Im real excited about it. Silver on charcoal = orgasm on wheels.:coolman:

:welcome1: My MM is my daily driver (I'm supercharged, too!), though I choose not to put snows on her and drive when snow and salt are on the ground - many do, though. 43K miles in 39 months. Some here are well over 100K miles.
Sit back and spend some time with us....chatting, reading, researching... you'll learn all there is to know about Marauders, since we are the "experts."

Get used to the Marauder and you won't need the 'stang!
The Marauder is a great daily driver, stock or modified.
Welcome aboard, enjoy the ride.

Ima do up the Marauder too, just not as extensive as the stangs gonna go. I've had her for 2 1/2 years, bought it 100% stock and now shes got a few things done to her. I just want a nice automatic for once, driving stick everyday sucks. I was contemplating on getting a 04 Subaru Legacy GT but I saw a Marauder the other day and I made my decision right there. BTW the stangs got 223000 miles on the chassis, shes got a few creaks lol.

My MM is my daily driver. It is a nice big comfortable car. Winter gas mileage is not the greatest, but I did not buy it for good gas mileage. A good set of snow tires makes the world of difference.

I'll post pics tomorrow. They're both white LSC's. I used to think they were fantastic cars, but after getting used to the Marauder it's a huge throwback when I have to tool around in one of the Mark VII's.

My stang is a seasonal toy now. I just got an MM in exchange for the 98 exploder I had for a daily and I can tell you this. My wife can drive it and I can put all my tools in that big ass trunk for support at track days. Hell my SLICKS FIT in the trunk of that car!!!!!!!!
Unload everything, wife can race it while I run the stang. :)

White LSC huh ?.
I had one of those ...
As much as I loved it ..... I think the whole "Mark VII" thing is waaaaaaaaaaaaay out of my system at this point.
My .02 concerning WHITE LSC's ......
When I was trying to sell mine ...... damn near EVERY phone call I got was .....
"Is it a "Special Edition" red or black ?". (There was also an ULTRA rare grey one).
Me - "Sorry no it isn't".
Them - "click"(phone hanging up) or "ok thanks bye".
Course' I honesty feel my car(or ANY white LSC) would have had MUCH more "curb appeal" with a dark blue - dark red or black gut than the mocha gut it had. Even a light grey would have been better I think. Shoot ... I can think of a white LSC w/a burgundy gut & tinted windows I LOVED back in the day(early 90's working at a LM dealer") more than I liked the color combo of what I owned(it BORED me after awhile).
Super low miles or NOT .....
I wont make THAT mistake again(buying a unique/pricey car I dont care for the color of - just cause' it has LOWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW miles).
MORAL of the story from MY experience .....
Most people interested in Mark VII's are NOT impressed by white exterior LSC's with mocha/tan/saddle/etc interiors.
Not what I'd call a "TURN OFF" or ugly color combo ......
It's just NOT a "oh wow !!!!!!" color combination.
If it were something different ...... I'd have gotten every red cent I wanted for the car since day one(upon deciding to sell it).
I think this COLOR thing applies to just about ANY car to be honest with you.
And BTW .....
Don't those lame ass "wire like" plastic cup holder things(I use that term LOOSELY) that pop out of the center armrest really SUCK ..... or is it just me ?.

Sorry for hi-jacking this thread.
To answer your ORIGINAL question .....
I think the MM is a GREAT daily driver.
Comfortable - good size(to protect you & others in case of a bad accident) - they run out much better(power wise) than a 2 valve Panther(stock anyway). They also handle pretty damn well out of the box for the bulky size car it is. And ya' can't forget ..... they just look damn good !.
Long story shot ........
I DON'T think you would be dissapointed with one ...... go for it !!!!!!!!!!.

Welcome aboard. If there is a MM that interests you, PM the VIN so I can run through Ford's OASIS database.
I've had my MM for 4 months. During that time, I fixed whatever was needed to be done. I enjoy driving it every day. I might love it a little more after a chip and 4.10s are installed.
I also had a an '87 LSC beater. The body rusted out around the back windows and trunk, so I pulled the engine and put it in a 1989 Mustang GT convertible that needed one.

Can you run my stangs VIN? Im curious to see what has been done to my car before I got it. Im pretty sure it was in a side swipe accident. Does it show any accident histories on cars?

Since the Mustang is over 10 years old, OASIS will only have any open recalls.
Accidents wil not be on OASIS.

If you plan on getting a Marauder I would shoot for a 2004. They have better
paint quality and diff. heads. I came 9/10ths of the way to getting a
new 04' silver. Ended up getting a black '03 w/ 6,000mi. I slap myself
every day.

I've had my Marauder for 2 1/2 years now, and I've put 39,000 miles on it, and I think it's a fantastic daily driver. This car does it all (especially when you put a good S/Cer on it like I have:D ). I drive mine every day even in the snow, and as long as you have a good set of snow tires (not "all season" tires, but real snows) the thing is great in the snow too. I've never had buyer's remorse since the day I've bought it new. the one complaint I had, was that it was too slow off the line, but if you slap a Trilogy S/Cer kit on it like many of us have, that will take care of that deficiency (if it even bothers you). If I didn't buy a Marauder, I don't know what else I would've bought, because I've seen nothing that compares in the way of newer big 5 passenger cars.

Every car has issues....every single one. So, I wouldn't let the nit picking sway you. The MM is an exceptional daily driver. In fact, it has all the right characteristics for a daily car.
Full chassis (safe)
Older Chassis (debugged for the most part)
Large and roomy
Plenty of power for a big car
4 doors for any occasion
Great handling for a bigger car
Nice ride quality (luxurious yet firm)
Good looks
That about equals the perfect DD for me. The only downside is gas mileage...but I don;t care about that either:)

I must be the only one having freak normal gas milage :) cheveron additives every 3 filups and cheveron gas mus pay off. Maybe the proguard also had something to do with it. I wish I took a pict of it but didn't have the camera when the light came on ,and felt it wasn't worth going home for it when the gas station was a "more reasonable" next destination since the needle was on the last mark. If you thing MPG sucks imagine if this was our curent prodction ;) http://www.hotrod.com/featuredvehicles/72538/

My 04 DTR is a great daily driver. Handles very well here with her snow shoes on. The only down side is she will need a professional clear coat/paint touch up this spring. The local DPWs here use a gravel/sand/salt mix for ice control. Daily basis here from late October to mid April. :puke:

I wonder if this is the same "CVPI"? If it is, it doesn't even use gasoline!
