I recently saw a pic of a silver MM w/ these covers and a silver JLT. I have redeemed my MVIII JLT winnings for a new silver JLT kit.
The Ford GT or Trilogy coil covers are next. (Prolly the GT ones to try to keep an OEM look)

I didn't, so what is a J.P. Patches?
J.P. Patches was the host of one of the longest running local children's shows in television history. "The J.P. Patches Show" aired on KIRO-TV in Seattle from 1958 - 1981 and broadcast over 10,000 episodes in its 23 year run. Just about every kid who grew up in the Northwest during that time tuned in as Julius Pierpont Patches, Mayor of the City Dump, entertained them with cartoons, sketches and special guests. His cast of regular characters included Gertrude, Ketchikan the Animal Man, Leroy Frump, Ggorrsstt - the Friendly Frple, Miss Smith and J.P.'s nemesis, Boris S. Wort, the second meanest man in the world.

Santa was good to me all year round, so I made a deal with him to take a year off and focus on my kids instead this Xmas. My wife got a bigger memory card for her camera so she can keep sending me photos of my kids while I'm at work. I got a couple of seasons' worth of DVDs of "Scrubs", and my usual stash of Swedish car magazines from the inlaws. But the kids... oh my gosh, we're swimming in kids toys and stuff.
But what a year it's been... went from a 1 kid household to a 2 kid household, went from a 1 Marauder household to a 2 Marauder household, actually put more mileage on my 1978 Trans Am than my GTA, soaked up a LOT of sunshine over such a wonderful summer and fall, did lots of activities with my oldest boy (go-karting, amusement parks, mini-golfing, basketball, batting practice, cruise nights, etc. etc.)... wow, 2006 is going to have a tough time beating that!
If it's not too early to put together a wish list for Xmas 2006, I'd want yet another kickass year with my boys...

Unfortunately nothing for the MM this year - at least not from the family. And I asked for a lot for her. Was hoping that Trilogy box would show up under the tree, but no such luck.;) I did get the remaining missing parts for my trunk organizer from Ray (aka, TheDealer). THANKS!!!
I did get a Logitec Momo steering wheel/shifter/pedals combination to hook up to the computer and use for racing games. Can't wait to pick up a couple of games and use that.
Also got a Shelby Cobra night light. This thing is sweet. Plug in to the wall and it looks like the front end of a Cobra coming out of the wall and the headlights are the night light portion. Pretty cool.
Also got a new Braun Activator 8585 electric shaver - tired of the old manual shave, altough it was nice and close. Just getting lazy and hate to shave in the morning. Also got the following DVD's: Lethal Weapon and Indiana Jones box sets, The Punisher, The Bourne Identity and The Bourne Supremacy. Also got a lot of clothes.
It was a great Christmas as got to spend lots of time with family and it was my baby girl's first Christmas. She did a great job opening presents for a 6 month old!!!! And everyone is safe and healthy. And my cousin is back from Iraq, for good, safe and sound. And my other cousin and his wife, who are both Lt. Colonels in the Air Force were able to come home this year, too. She works at the Pentagon and he works at Andrew's AFB as part of the group that provides support for all Air Force 1 useage. Lots of good stories about people he has met that ride on there: Ms. Rice, Rumsfeld, Mr. and Mrs. Bush, Mr. and Mrs. Chaney, etc. Doesn't have long conversations, but little bit of time when escorting from their ride (the helicopter or Suburban) to the plane. Pretty cool stuff.

Santa dropped something from his bag as he made his exit from my zip code, I guess it's mine now, "Finder's, keeper's", right?
http://www.mercurymarauder.net/showcase/showimage.php?i=702&c=3&userid=392
Yep. This is Marauder #3 for me, maybe a first among us here too. A complete and truely "bone stock" '03 300B, delivered into my hands by the fat guy in red. 71K miles yeah, but fresh brakes, tires, and yada yada, yada. Great paint, not one ding I have seen yet.
Under the hood is ugly, but this is good news too. No tampering, no tuning, no replacement heads, no wrenching around Hell, it looks like the hood has never been up for anything ever, and I like that. Best of all, no blue smoke at start up, and no engine tick.
Interior is flawed, and y'all can see them flaws in my Gallery. Previous owner must have been a real superchunk of a fat guy because the driver's seat is totally destroyed. Foam is dead, no life left in it. Must have been somewhat sloppy too, because the driver's and passenger seat have small cigarette burn holes not highly visible in these pics (see additional pics in my gallery). AC is blowing hot too, so, may be some detail to address too, no biggie.
Nonetheless, I drove it home for 17.5K, and the rest of the car is very, very nice. That's 17.5 out the door gents, after all the "buy used from a dealer trade in" crap, including state, county, and city tax, and other dealer stuff.
17.5 was my total dead end payout, so, I just had to drive it home, and thank Santa while I did.
Now I got two Marauders for my one sorry azz...One to play with at the race track and car shows, another to drive everyday, and everywhere else in my life. This is my best Xmas present ever, and some kind of first among us to boot.
Ummm...I may have just declared my newly owned '03 MM a daily "beater car".
Sorry guys, but that's what I was looking for and that's what I found.
Best ever beater car, and I got mine.

You are going to paint the new one black so you can bait people with the stock one, set up a title race, then swing home, get the beast, smoke them, collect the winnings, switch cars back, and then listen to them say, "I did not know a stock Marauder was that quick.":banana2:

Well, come on now. As every Marauder owner knows, you need to do at least a tuner to fix the stock shift characteristics and make the car more enjoyable to drive. Then you need a CAI to hear that nice sucking sound when you get on it. And then maybe some 4.10 gears to get it moving a tad quicker...
Then again, I don't know if I would really consider those mods or just making the car the way it should have come from the factory. Anything beyond those items would be modifiying.;)
