I've seen 'em before. There's a place outta FL has it and custom Marauder engraved coil covers. They're like 1XX a pair. Just can't remember the name of the site. I found the site either from here or from SVT.

Yeap, I've seen that before. I see it every day I go outside and look at my car :)
This is made by the same guy who made my custom coil covers and oil cap. This is a VERY HIGH QUALITY piece!
Here's a picture of it on my car.

Seems like it's been around a while, why hasn't anyone mentioned them?
I think I'd like to get one for my OEM Kenny Brown grill.

You didn't just say that you're going back to the badge look...didja??? Nope. I'm staying Zacked. But, I got the OEM Kenny Brown grill up in the rafters, it's the only appearance change I've made from the magazine articles.

Nice looking grille badge!
He made a sweet set of CNC Coil Covers for me, but I thought that I read a post about his shop being hit by lightning and his CNC machines getting smoked....:dunno:

What happened? Did being a sponsoring vender on here suddeny stop having any meaning?

Donny,
Re-read the vendor rules. The intent of the poster has alot to do with things. Rick was simply posting up making us aware of something he's never seen. He's not advertising for or representing the company selling the goods.
Regarding your note to me, if someone else has a problem with how they were moderated, they can come to me directly, we may of screwed up, who knows...

Kinda sorry I started this whole thing...
Didn't mean to take the focus off the CAR Motorsports emblems...
Seems we have enough problems getting the order quota as it is.
Let's go people, only a few days left!

Didn't mean to take the focus off the CAR Motorsports emblems. I don't agree with your apology, you have done nothing to apologize for. It's obvious to me that the e-bay GH badge is a one of a kind offering, perhaps the only one made, or, the only one left from a company gone under due to the "exciting" weather of 2005.
I looked the auction over closely, there are no links to any greater offerings, no more business to entertain. Yep, it's a one-time shot at one artifact, and someone has the bidding covered with an automatic escalator. I cannot see how this one-time auction should have any effect on CAR's products, or commerce with us.
CAR is offering more than just a grille badge, a lot more, and very well done too. From my first read of this post to now, I never thought of this auction as competition to CAR, or, taking any attention away from their products. Neither do I see such language in this thread. I think CAR will do just fine offering us several products with high appeal.
I respect your intent, Jim, but an apoligy is not in order, IMHO.

Thank you sir.
I was just feeling a little guilty for bringing this up at such a critical time for the CAR ordering process. As a fairly new member of this forum I am treading lightly, but I am amazed at the lack of response for the badges.
I thought it was a done deal based on the large volume of interest they generated initially. I feel bad for a business owner like Rich to go out on a limb and spend development money based on what people said they wanted to buy, then to have such a lukewarm response.
I just try to do what I say I'm going to do in life, and fulfill the commitments I make.
Will I still enjoy my Marauder if this emblem deal doesn't go through?
Heck Yes!

Bah, Poppy ****... Like Mac says, nothing to apologize for...
Just because a vendor is offering something, doesn't mean you're obligated to want it or help sell it for them... :)

Yeah, I was the one who complained about a possible vendor rules violation, and I'm usually on the other side in this kind of thing.
Back last March, Directby posted a link to a man who was making custom billet coil covers -- he may be the same man making the front grille emblem that is the subject of this thread. Directby was scolded for putting up the link (it was removed) and we all got an education about posting to or promoting a part or accessory that was also sold through a supporting vendor on here. Some grumbling in the thread, but it was accepted.
Car Motorsports, who we've been told is "in the process" of being a supporting vender here, is in the closing push for getting a minumum order of emblems -- emblems that have been repeatedly requested for on here --, and up pops a link to an ebay auction for a gods head front grille badge. I'm not going to ascribe any motivation for this, just say it was poorly timed and certainly not helping CAR Motorsports get as many orders as it can.
I couldn't see any differecne between what happened with Paul back in March and this business here with the emblems, so Donny went crying to the mods.
And, once again, I come away with a lesson.

Donny:
I look forward to meeting you in person someday.
That said, I want to be clear that I posted this link with no intention but interest for folks on this site. The picture was for a "supercharged" Marauder, which I don't have.
I already have ordered the badges from CAR Motorsports, but have no further connection with this company other than buying a fender cover from them. I don't know what happened in March with Paul.
I have been vocal in getting this group buy together because I want a set.
Poorly timed?
Maybe..., but without motive.
Which doesn't address the folks that said they wanted the CAR badges that aren't stepping up to the plate.
Best Regards, Jim
