Dang. I wish I had a link to a electronic issue of Popular Mechanics right now. The current issue, or last months, had a good article where they test 5 of the gizmo fuel saver/power adder gimmicks out there.
I think they said the ionizers melted and caught fire in the engine bay, tornadoes did about as poorly, one do-hicky was at risk of falling apart and being sucked into the intake.
They tested on trucks and all showed loss in HP and around 20% lower mpg.

theres something used in texas on a few emergency vehicles. Anyone have articles on it cause it had something to do with making the fuel a mist before it got to the engine. Not saying it worked but a lot of ambulances and few cop cars have it installed for some odd reason.

That's essentially what is promised w/ the tornado and ionizers. The PM tests I read about did not show any good results, and they seemed to have made their tests very controlled as they described in the article.

If you accidently put a magnet in your gas tank the car would soon stall and die, due to fuel starvation!!
