I was all set to bid on a sirius satellite radio with home docking station and boombox, no reserve, starting bid was $0.01....... and just before I clicked on the bid I noticed shipping was >$49< !!!! Sheeyuut, I can see why there's no reserve. It was a store display model, to boot.

Wound up winning a bid for am XM PCR new in the box, more than I wanted to bid, but half what the "buy it now" prices have been running for XM PCR nib. After I won, the seller immediately raised the minimum starting bid on his two other new units, plus changed the shipping fee from a flat $8 to $20.

I'm looking forward to the XM PCR. I already have XM in my SSR and have a MyFi, which records 5 hours of broadcasting (I use this to listen to at work). But the XM PCR along with Time Trax software allows you to rip high quality Mp3's and organize them by artist, album, etc, then you can download them only an MP3 player or rip a CD from there. That's why XM discontinued the product last year, then came out with the MyFi.

Oh, and you Howard fans, Time Trax offers a similar recording capability for Sirius using a Sirius tuner.

there was also a feather that was $.01 and shiping was like $100,000,000.! Someone actualy mistakenly bidded! I hate ebay cause people will out bid you on a used car part $200 past the price of a brand new one shipped just case they wanted it more than you!

Dont remember where I saw it but, there was a guy a few weeks ago selling an xbox 360 box. Just the box. Sold for close to the price of a new xbox. Down at the bottom of his listing it said the auction was just for the box not the xbox. (when I say box I mean cardboard)

By jacking up the shipping price you beat Ebay's costs. If you sell something for only $1, ebay will charge you accordingly based on the $1 sale.
The shipping cost could be $300 but Ebay will only bang you out for the sale cost.

Always check the price of shipping and handling.
Email the seller if not listed.
If no answer, then do not bid.
That's my MO.

Yes, but if payment is through Pay Pal, eBay takes a slice of the shipping there.
