Rumors are there was an american car with japanese engine transplant for the new F&TF movie. This just might be it. "Gone in less than 60 seconds" would have sold better than TF&TF3 cause trilogys (movie wise) sometimes don't do much but beat a already dead horse.

I hope they converted it to front wheel drive.....and they should have put a huge aluminum wing on the rear, quadruple coffee can exhaust, a whole bunch of stupid toy cars on the dash, etc.

Not that it makes it any better but I do believe that is an inline 6. That makes me sick like when I read about a guy putting an Ls1 in a Mystic Cobra.:(

speaking of the movie car... Someone did a mock up of the "60 seconds" car and then some on speed channel it sold for like $45K. What you think the value of this car is on the street and showroom? :)

*Update engine is RB26DET and there are rumors those were the before pictures...as in "it's crashed or totaled since then"

Hate me if you must, but if that is the Famed R34 GT-R Skyline engine...with a huge single turbo, is capable of 700 - 800 horsepower. That is just plain impressive....But leave the plant in the pot it is meant for.

It didn't even get past 340 hp and 264 tQ and runs13.36 in 1/4 *sigh*

The lastest issue of Hot Rod has an article on this "Bride of Satan" and the Monte Carlos they used in the film. An interest note is that for the racing and drifting stunts they used a Mustang with a windsor in it.

Okay, I am NOT a ricer fan, but indeed that is the Skyline engine. Think of it as a suped up Supra engine. It does NOT belong in a Mustang, but I guarantee thats the most HP that Stang has ever seen. If I were to have my choice at any ricer car it would be a Skyline. Alot of them came with AWD. They werent even available in the US because of all the power they produce.

Now that being said WTF is up with coffee cans on that Stang? That is utterly ridiculous. I mean, at least they chose the best ricer engine to put in it, but the exhaust.....YUCK!!!!!

License plate: INDACLOSETthe canister is fake...as in not hooked up just there for added rice :( It's a gts trany with custom driveshaft going back to a for 9" rear end. SCC has the article and full specs as well.
