Requires a reboot. Geez I hate that.

it says my security settings do not allow this type of file to be downloaded..:dunno:Yea that makes sence.

Been updating my clients remotely for the past 3 hours.

Microsoft was due to release this next Tuesday and decided to deploy today due to the severitiy.

That fix won't apply on my Linux box...oh wait, nevermind. ;) ;)

Thanks for the heads up, not too bad, we always like to place bets when "001" will come out at the start of each year. The next bet is the final number by the end of '06.

Isn't this the one that apparently is a vulnerability that goes back about 10 or more years? I heard this might be the one that exists in Win 3.1 as well...at anyrate, I think I have this one, better double check though.

Thanks, news to me. I thoroughly understands the part about having your system completely taken over...look what the hell has happened to me since I stumbled onto MM.Net. I haven't been assimilated, I have milated up the a$$. I am loving it more every day, that is the scariest part! Dennis:beer:

Leave your settings and go to Windows Update (http://update.microsoft.com/) to get it.

Strangely enough . . . yes it does! The WINE emulator is vulnerable to this exploit. The patch will not work in WINE. :eek:
