It wasn't easy! I thought of doing this when I first got my car in late August. I finally found a NOS set on ebay and won the auction (Boo koo jingles) I wasn't the only one that wanted them. My brother in law said I was a " dirty rat" for out bidding the poor guy that needed them for his 64. Oh well!!!! I removed the studs with a dremmel tool, filled the back void with epoxy to flush and then applied with automotive double back tape.

Sorry, I can't remember the company but they specialize in emblems. They had repo flags at one time for $75.00 a pair but no plackards.

Looks great, just what Ford should have done like they did putting the old "MACH" emblem on the '03 Mach1.

You should have pulled a mold from them!

The fender flags are still avail. new at Auto Krafters. The Marauder nameplate's will be hard to find.

It's funny (eerie even) how similar the Impala SS and Marauder crowd is.

The 406,427,460,289,302 and 429 X flags are also avail. The 289 one could be modified for the Marauder's engine size.

If I could just get a hold of one of those, I would put it on the trunk lid where the Crown Vic has their Police Interceptor Badge.
It looks good, real good!
If someone only knew how many of these Badges would make them a fortune, everyone on this site with a Marauder would have them.:rasta:

The emblem looks excellent. This is what the factory should have done among other things. John:)

That looks great !! I have wanted to do the same thing but haven't found the emblems yet.

You should take those to an emblem place and see what it would cost to duplicate them. There is a market for sure.

I have a place that "may" be able to do them. I have other "stuff" on order from them now which I expect top be ready in 2 weeks or so. I'd like to see their quality before we send them more work. Would someone be willing to part with a badge for a while?

These originals are VERY hard to locate. I spent weeks internet searching....and nearly a hundred phone calls to different restoration companies.

I gave up. :(

You did good...real good.

I have resorted to vinyl repros for the interim.

Keep your eye on ebay. I have seen used flags and badges in the last six months. Of course I wanted NOS for use on my car, but a used set may be the ticket to have some one make a repo.

Like I posted before, Auto Krafters has the flags NEW.

C/Service # 1-800-228-7346

A couple of years ago they were listed at 34.95 apiece

The original 64 Marauder fender emblem is one piece with both flag and Marauder name plate. That is what makes it so desirable. Auto krafters sells the flag by itself. If that helps clear anything up.

judntude

The ones I used were two piece. NOS in boxes. The flags had two studs each, and the marauder plate had two studs. As I recall, the plates had one ford part number and the flags had two numbers, one left and one right. I should have kept the stock numbers, but I didn't. Old ads shows the badges on a 64 with a slight seperation between the plate and the flag. That is how I determined the correct mounting.

Now we know the rest of the story. Thanks for straightening me out on the details. I must have seen a one piece copy and not an original. Wish I remember where I saw the dang thing. It sure looks great on your car !

Hello,

My name is Mike and I'm a new member on the board. Purchased an 04 Marauder yesterday. While reading your posts in your signature space you mention "silencer deleted." Without trying to look like a newbie dumbass, What is that?

Everyone was a newbie at one time....and I'm still one. We all have to start somewhere.

I believe it has to do with the air intake that goes into the fender...could be wrong.

Mike...might want to start a new thread in the "garage" section though.

By the way....welcome to the board!

Close! No, the flag and the name plate were not connected. I too have an original set of 64 marauder plates to do the same thing. (Had them for 6 months now) and the factory part number for the badge is C4MB-16B114-B, the flags are C4MY-16300B RH and C4MY-16301B LH.

Cheers!

John
