This might be a weird question, but did anyone that installed a factory spoiler on their car keep the used installation kit, or does anyone know where I can get just the installation kit, especially the templates for the holes on the inside of the trunk lid. My neighbor backed into my MM which forced me into replacing my trunk lid, and alas, I didn't save the installation kit for my trunk spoiler. Anyways, any help would be greatly appreciated

Thanks,
DearbornDave

Mary, I swear. I bet your guy doesn't even have to ask and there it is! You are amazing!:bows: Of course you are THE MOD, apologies to those mods who are after all only human; but you should be GOD. Well, you are a goddess in my mind. Dennis Oh, by the way do you have the original scale drawing of the ARK? Thought so...don't email them to me. It was just a little test.

DearbornDave ... especially the templates for the holes on the inside of the trunk lid. ....
You don't really need the templates for the inside of the trunk lid.

Once you have the initial holes drilled on the outside surface of the trunk, take a long pointy object (thin punch or in my case I used a nail) and whammer it from the outside through the inner panel (trust me it's not that thick).

Volarie ... You now have a more than accurate pilot hole with which to drill the 1" hole from the inside.

Hello all,
Thanks for the quick responses. Mary, I got the instruction sheets, but no templates. The instuction sheets are numbered 1/10, 2/10, 3/10 etc. I got up to 8/10 and that was it. I'm assuming the templates are on pages 9/10 and 10/10, which I didn't get. So if anyone has those, I'm still looking. As far as the neighbor, no I was never really friends, so nothing lost besides a trunk lid. Actually the trunk lid thing happened about a year and a half ago. I fixed it right away, removing the ulgy trunk badge in the process, but I never re-installed the spoiler. I modified the spoiler by filling in the huge notch for the trunk badge, but never got around to putting it back on. Which brings us up to date and me needing installation instructions. What makes me want to put the spoiler back on is I have to do more work yet again on the back of my Marauder! You see, the friday before Christmas someone I work with (I don't know who) smacked the drivers side corner of my rear bumper, and now I must replace the bumper cover. So I figured while I was painting the bumper cover, I might as well paint the spoiler and reinstall it, but I need the templates!

Sorry, Dave. I didn't look at what I sent and thought it was all there. I'll look again.

Go ahead, if you have the installation kit it's a breeze. I finally got around to reinstalling my spoiler only about a month ago, without the installation kit or templates. I covered the rear of the trunk lid with 2" masking tape, measured the hole pattern about 10 times, re-measured about 10 more times, laid my measurements out on the masking tape covered trunk lid, center punched where I thought the holes should go, then drilled away. The outer holes were perfect, the inner set had to be slotted about an 1/8 inch each! Not bad if I don't say so myself. Then I just used the "Big-O-Nail" method to transfer the holes through to the inner frame, piece of cake! I'll take some pics of my customized spoiler tomorrow and post them.
