Well....the in dash cd player is going out. I figured it was just a bad cd, however, it does it, (skips) on every cd I play. Guess it's time for a complete audio make over. Damn the luck!!!:cool4:

Could be as simple as a dirty lens...might want to try one of those lens cleaners from the store. Run it a few times.

I don't think our players will have an issue running a cleaner - some do, but I can't think of why our would not like it.

Or if your careful and good with your hands, take the radio out and open her up and give it a good cleaning with a can of air.

If the laser is going bad, some towns are lucky enough to have a reasonable small repair shop that can change it out for not much charge.

I also have seen some online places that will swap your unit for a working one with of course some $$$ added in. They fix your broken one and then do the same swap to the next guy...

It's that damned West Texas rockabilly on them CD's. Stick the nozzle of a fresh can of WD-40 in it's pie hole and give 'er a good spritz; that'll fix 'er right up. Spray them CD's too! :cowboy:

What ever you do, don't look into the CD slot, there might be a big 'ol rattler stuck in there.

Actually a good cleaning will fix it right up. The Radio Shack kid with all the answers has the right stuff to do it.:D

Yuppers...gonna try to clean it for the short term. I am going to put in a rather healthy aftermarket audio system pretty soon, however. So, I'm not tooooo bent outta shape.
