I work at Donway in Scarborough and was at St. Thomas when we did the Marauder Canadian launch back in October 2002. I was one of the fortunate ones to be in the 100-car parade that day on the 401 with OPP escort. What a site to behold.

Anyway, the car I drove then was my customer's unit. His lease just came due in November, and I've been patiently waiting for it. Now I have it and am taking over ownership (pending details to be worked out here), but have been driving it since end of November anyway. Absolutely love it, and it will be a worthy replacement of my last two personal rides (99 Taurus SHO w/3.4V8 and Walker exhaust - very beefy sound), and 01 Cobra (stock, only 3.73's), at least until I can manage a Mustang for a trackdawg.

I look forward to coming out each morning to take this beauty to work and look forward to many years with it. Mods are underdrive pulley and filter by previous owner, stock exhaust. I'd like to change the exhaust to something a bit more throaty when punched but still civil at normal cruise. Suggestions?

And I look forward to meeting fellow Canuckleheads with Marauders in the future.

Welcome to the site,eh. What colour is your MM? I seem to remember all 100 of those parade MM's being black. Is that correct?

Marawder - :welcome:

I bought the Lightning from Don Vass at Donway, a few years ago.

As for exhaust - Wesman (also from T.O.) has a set of Kooks headers. You may want to check some of his posts, as the videos will give you a feel for the sound. I'm starting to think about the DR Cobra exhaust, but I'm still not too sure... Pulleys are cheap and easy, so that'll be my next mod. ;)

I'm jumping into this thread a little late, however, I just joined this site and also just purchased a MM.

As for muffler choices, Ford dual mode mufflers are hard to beat except in the price department. I have them in my 99 Cobra and they sound bone stock until I hit the gas, then the internal door opens and it sounds close to straight pipes without the popping. I've been able to cruise at 4000rpm and carry out a conversation with passengers in a normal voice. The drawback is the price; expect to pay double what a normal muffler costs for these.

Welcome aboard. You may want to start a new thread to introduce yourself.

I also run the duel modes. I have several other mods that enhance the sound. clicky the link in my sig for more details. I am a very happy coustomer.

Search "Spintech" and you'll find my thread with my videos. I love these mufflers. Sometimes I consider going with the Pro-Streets (Louder) but I often back down as I think these are an excellent choice on a daily driver. Somehow, someway, there is ZERO drone on the highway. I highly suggest these mufflers!

I do like the way your car sounds!
Some of my pals at the dealership mentioned how good it sounds as well.
(no one drove your car off the lot);)
Oh,... sorry, newbie, enjoy the ride! and welcome to our contingent.

My co-worker from Oakville Assembly Complex was there too, and purchased the MM he was driving. He picked it up from the plant on one of his 'sick days'. We're thinking he was the first in Canada to own one.

It was Great meeting you! Stopped in at Donway on my way back from
Dasilva Racing- He deals with Reinhart and does mainly ford tuning.
Maybe arrange a panther meet in the spring with oqcvo.com for
ontario owners?? or ford track day??

There are a few of us GTA guys - i'm sure we could get a few of us together... Based on the recent weather, maybe we can all compare snow tires ;)
