Right at the heart of the cruise, between 13 and 14 mile right across the street from Duggan's Pub:banana:

For those not aware of this spot it is the most sought after spot on Woodward. We are right across the street from all the media. The mile roads that we are between get more traffic than any other part of Woodward. This is the major reason for the lot going up in price.

We own the Burger King Lot, very prime as Mike said!

What are the dates for Woodward again this year? I am trying to figure out a time that will work with my schedule (and Lidio's, of course) to road trip out there and get gears installed and meet some of the "locals" and get a trip over to Trilogy.

I didn't see it posted anywhere, but I found this on the Woodward Dream Cruise website ( http://www.woodwarddreamcruise.com/ ). Looks like the date for the cruise is Saturday, August 19, 2006.

Just thought I would post that for anyone interested. I won't be able to make that, but will be buying a raffle ticket. Any update on the current count sold? Just want to see if I have the time to wait until next week to get mine...

Would love to win that since I am already planning a trip out to see Lidio this summer for a gear install. Why not have him install my new Trilogy S/C too!!! :burnout:

Hey i know this guy.:D Yeah, me too !!! And I know the SOB that took the picture.

Is this gonna be another Wednesday, 16th through Sunday, 20th event? Hampton Inn gathering, etc. ?? :dunno: Or is this a shorter deal??

This will likely be a somewhat shorter deal. We will most likely have a few less organized events.

That said, there is also a likelihood that we will be piggy backing onto several other local events happening before the dreamcruise, as well as some "unorganized" spontaneuous events.

For example, it looks like Eaton wants us to join them for their big performance day (ask Chuck and Claude how fun that was!!). We are also thinking of going to Milan dragway for a night of test n tune (not renting the track and all that hassle, but just going to open Test n Tune). Ofcourse anyone would be welcome to visit Trilogy, Lidio's place, the museums, etc, etc. In the end, I'm sure we'll have various events to attend. We're just trying to keep things less demanding from an organization stand point, and keep things cheaper in general for the attendees. Folks can more or less a la cart and pay for what they want to do rather than build it into a "event" price.

Hope this helps!

I do want to add that we will indeed be holding a block of rooms at the Hampton. Dave or I will be calling there shortly to confirm.

But, please remember, we only have about 35-40 spots or so on the lot. So actual car spaces will be limited. Of course, if you don't want to park, everyone from MM.net is welcome to come. Many folks did this last year and had a great time!

Also, depending on how the IMOA does with their spots, we will get a shot at their unused spots if they do not use them all. Not sure how likely that is. but that is how it will work.

Keep your eyes posted for more details. We'll give everyone lots of advance notice before registration begins.

The cow population will probably be too high by then too.

If you want get technical, the Dream Cruise is not even in Detroit but in the suburbs just north of Detroit. Detroit ends south of 8 mile and the Dream Cruise starts north of 8 mile.

With regard to the cost, let's not scrimp on the porta-potties. That one holer inside Burger King can't handle the volume by itself. Last year, it worked out great !! :D

I can attest to the location selected for the WDC. It is in prime territory along Woodward (in Royal Oak as I recall). The BK lot maximizes the number of car slots that are available. It has a couple good sized grass/lawn areas for pop-tents and lawn chair viewing areas, and it is quite convenient to the Hampton Inn. That eases the trip both in and out.... IMHO.

No worries my friend, we have already decided to continue offering our own private upscale porta johns along with the attendee that keeps them clean!!

The MCM crew decided this is a MUST HAVE amenity:D

scrimp

Someone I worked with at a restaurant actually used this word for "Shrimp".

Scrimp being singular...

and

Scrimpisis being plural...

Blue...hope you make it to Woodward this year. It was fun being your wing man on the way up last year. Lets do that again.

Guess that means it will need to be thinned out.

Mat,
Yeah that was fun ... both coming and going !! Have not made my mind up yet on this year's trip to WDC. I am procrastinating. The wife got bumped out of her vacation plans when the oldest son had his medical problem. Right now I am trying to figure out how to work it all in.

BTW ... how's married life?

BTW ... how's married life?

I'm sorry to hear all that Blue. I hope things get better for you all. Married life is fantastic. Unfortunately, we both got bumped out of our schedules that we've had for the past year and a half, so vacation plans are up in the air right now. Looks like if MV4 doesn't shape up soon, the only thing we'll be able to do is WDC 2006.
