Been looking around for new Rotors and pad's as a up grade with out braking the bank. This morning I went down to Miami to the Napa main store and picked up The NAPA High Performance Drilled & Slotted Rotors. The fronts cost $ 141.00 each & the rear's cost $74.00 each. They looked like a nice quality product. On the Pads On the front & rear I went with the Napa Carbon Ceramic Premium Pads. The front pads cost $82.00 per set and the rear cost $79.00 per set. Totle cost was $590.69 Plus tax. I'm having the installed this Thursday . Thank you to all who called me & post on the other thread and give me ideas. - P.S. The Rotors From NAPA are made by United Brake Parts.

Find some braided lines for these. These are just as good as the KVR's I have. These should be much better than stock. For the S/Ced guys who do a lot of speeding around or drag racing I would go for the complete brake upgrade to the Baers (as is on my soon to get list).
Enjoy.

I moved my question to TCE brake forum, more appropriate place to ask.

I asked this question for years, never had a satisfactory answer: Besides the appearance and cost, how do you know what you purchased is "better" than OEM?
I am not trying to be disrespectful to any member or vendor, brakes are in my future agenda and I have no idea how to make a best bang for the buck decision, since there is no "braking data" that I can use for comparison purposes. Sorry about the rant. You're not being disrespectful, Javier, it's a damn good question.
Why not slide over to ToddTCE's forum here, and ask our own brake specialist? It's his livelyhood. I've seen some charts and data posted by mfgs, but I always wonder about how it has been enhanced to favor their products. Todd has always answered my questions.

Are there any quantitative test of rotors and pads that provide stopping distance and resistance to fade (pedal pressure) to compare to OEM, other than saying " they stop better, or feel better???
How do we judge which aftermarket "kit" is better other than looks and price, since there is no test data to confirm anything.

Sorry about the rant. Javier I need some kinda up grade to the stock brakes. It is a fact that Drilled & slotted rotors run cooler than the stock . AS far as the Premium Carbon Ceramic Pads I'm taking a chance and want to see if they are better for me. Either way it is a up grade to my stock brakes.Javier I will see you at the picnic , your more than welcome to take it for a ride and judge for your self if it's right for you my friend.

You have a right to ask a question and I'll do my best for my friends to reply with a truthfull answer or offer them to try mine. The brakes are being installed This Thursday with my New Fuel Pump. I'll post something after a few days of brakeing them in .

On 1-26-06 I had the fronts done & the rears were done on 1-28-06. Had a problem getting off the rear rotors so I had to take it to RoyLPita's shop. The brakes are alot better than before. I haven't broken in the rear's yet but the car does stop better. In a few days when I brake in the rear's I'll do some hard braking on them and tell you the difference's I've found on these Napa Rotors and Carbon Ceramix Pads. Please keep in mind I'm not going to compair them to any other brake systems only to the stock system we have from Factory.

OK I went out a little while ago to test out the New Napa Rotors & carbon Ceramic Pads this is what I found: I drove the car for 15 to 20 minutes to warm up the brakes a little. I did 2 stops at 60 MPH, 2 stops at 70 mph & 2 stops at 80 Mph. I hit the brakes hard and their was no fade at all. They stopped alot better and quicker than the stock one's. I know my stopping distance was shorter, which I'm happy about. A nice improvement .

Without knowing the exact data of the parts you can still guesstimate the results of both bias, feel and torque using the bias calculator on the web page here:
http://www.tceperformanceproducts.com/brake_bias_calculator.html
Dynamic bias can be worked on to a point currently by opening the drop down 'Tools' and clicking the link.
There's no problem with new parts from AZ for example but they are often so superior to the parts taken off with 20k on them that about anything may appear better. Brakes are a wear item like many parts over time they don't funtion as well as they did new. A few hard stops should not fade any pads. Keeping them at that point for a length of time can tax them a bit.
Feel changes come from the balance of piston area to MC area. Larger displacment parts offer massive torque at the loss of modulation, smaller areas do the opposite; they require more "leg" and a more sensative foot. Total tq can be made numerous ways. Watch what changes with regard to tq both fron and rear as you manipulate the variables.
