I'm looking for advice from the knowledge of the many off this site. This is not about the Marauder, but rather my girlfriends car. She has a Civic, and lately it has died a few times while she has slowed for a stop sign or stop light. What could be some of the causes of this? Battery, fuel pump, etc? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

More info on the car would help. At least tell us what year it is.

Sorry, it is a 1997. Unfortunately, I have not had the chance to look at it or drive it. All I know is what she told me over the phone tonight. I know there is not much to go off of. I was just hoping that someone knew what the problem could be, or had some experience with something like this. Sorry for the lack of info.

Might wanna check air filter just for kicks too. Some chicks NEVER have their cars serviced or check anything. Hopefully your GF is not one of them.

Bird Nest in the air intake.
Plugged Exhaust pipe????
Fouled Plugs
Water in the gas line
Too much strain from a belt diven component (tensioner, alternator....)
Bad wires
Cap/rotor
This is where I'd start...

idle air bypass valve. It is an electric motor that allows air to bypass the throttle plate when you close it (as in during a stop). If the motor is dead or clogged, it will cause the engine to suffocate from lack of air.
