I don't know if this is OK. If not, just delete the thread....
I would like to make myself a custom "Pro-Guard" type cover from aluminum. If possible and acceptable, could someone who still hasn't installed theirs trace it onto carboard? I'd be happy to pay the shipping for the template.
Again, if this violates any rules, ruffles any feathers, or steps on any toes, just delete it. However, I will make something from aluminum even if I have to make my own template. It just seems a tracing would be an easier start.
Thanx

BigHouse fabricated his out of sheetmetal, but crawling underneeth and measuring between the tailpipes, then back to the accumulator should work. Nothing wrong with do it yourself, but when you consider the time spent, and fabrication costs, I bet you're gonna have nearly the same cost. Unless, of course, you have access to wonderful fabricating tools and materials.:D

It's not the cost. I would just like to use shiny aluminum.

I'll expect to see an engraved god's head and Marauder logo on there too. ;)

Hey, while you're at it, call Wes at innovative interceptors, and order up a Shiney Hiney to replace that stupid pie pan protecting your differential. There's tons of posts about it.:)

I have already had my ProGuard "crunched" by a low speed rear end collision. My ProGuard didn't "fold" or "accordian" into something else I did not buy. Aluminum would not be as resistant to collapse, it would wrinkle.

You might want to think about the Metco upper & lower arms and Watts link. You could also chrome / powder coat the larger sway bar that you install.:D :D

Thinking about it. If I make an Alum-Guard, I'll bend a tunnel into it.
I like the idea of that valet underbody light kit, but I'm a former ricer and stereo head. I'm used to neon..... hell, I don't know. One thing at a time.
