I've said many times in the past, that I have yet to hear the Air Compressor for the Suspension. It got so I thought my compressor was not working, and I was going to have my dealer check to see if it really worked or not.

Well, after owning this 03 MM for 50 weeks, I finally heard the compressor today. Got in the car, put ignition on, but did not start car while I was waiting for my wife to come out. About ten seconds after all the bongs and gongs ended, I heard the compressor come on. :bows: Now I know that it does work after all.

I think the reason I never heard it before is because my car has Flowmaster Mufflers which are noisy, and I could never hear the compressor above the muffler noise. My Continental's compressor will go on even with the car parked, but this is the first time I've heard it on the MM.

I've been hearing mine since the day I got it. Noisy little SOB. Got less than 1K left on warranty guess I'll take it in to be looked at.

Bingo! The compressor is pretty quiet. I noticed with a stock muffler you could actually feel it come on. With an aftermarket that's out.

I'm glad you got confirmation on it. It stinks to have silly stuff like that bug you.

Remember, always turn it off prior to jacking the car up.

Best,

Dan

Yep my fat arse sets it off geting in the car regardless how long it was remote started. I hear and feel it cause the magnaflows are a really quiet idleing muffler.

for your appointment, it's tough $#!+. Ask me how I know...:mad2:

Is this the sort of groan/belch sound I hear a moment after the engine starts, or does my car need Rolaids? The sound seems to come from under the hood on the right side.

Compressor seems to do more duty in cooler weather. Have noticed it every morning lately. I usually idle the car for a minute while I do seat belt, bluetooth headset, sunglasses, etc.
