Thanks to those who ran the VINs of a couple of cars I was looking at.

Just bought a 1999 Ford Taurus SHO off of ebay.

A fine winter beater for while I am out of state on contract!

YES! The cams have been welded on this SHO.

Moon Roof (upper gun port) too!

I will fly to Detroit and drive it home the weekend of February 11th.

I paid 2500.00 for it. Pictures:

Does anyone else on MM net own one of these?

Is there a 'GO' chip for these too?

Thanks and Best Regards,

David

Great price, how many miles and what kind of shape.

I owned 3 SHO, '89, '95, '99.

Congrats. I've thought about buying a '99 SHO for sale localy with only 41,000 miles, but when I read that the cams would need to be welded, I decided to pass...for now.

I used to have a 97 SHO. Wasn't a bad car. That looks like a 98. The taillights are all red. The 97 had red and amber taillights. Good price on it. They all came with moonroofs. The 97's had chrome as an option and power antennas. In 98 they changed the wheels and all came with the aluminum and fixed antennas.

Sorry to say that it looks like the seller has backed out of the transaction.

At least I didn't lose any funds!

I still appreciate the help running VIN numbers!

Best Regards,

Dave

Sorry to hear about the seller backing out. That always suks. I had an '89 SHO and it had 326,000 miles on itwhen I sold it. Now has over 355K and still going strong, but it looks like a rag! Those 3.0 Yamaha engines are tough!

Whats the deal with needing to have the cams welded?
