I adopted a 2003 MM in October. When I first got it I heard a rattle from front end and promptly had the dealer check it out and they replaced the tie rods. I lost the rattle but I think that there is a lot of feedback through the steering wheel when I go over bumps. I don't know weather this is normal for MMs or something else is wrong. Anyone experience the same thing or know what it might be. Thanks

Most likely they didn't get the alignment quite right after replacing the tie rod ends.
I would get it realigned, using carfixer's world famous MM alignment specs.
Read about it here (http://www.mercurymarauder.net/forums/showpost.php?p=211998&postcount=11)

Do You Recommend Having The L/m Dealer Doing The Carfixer Alignment?

Do You Recommend Having The L/m Dealer Doing The Carfixer Alignment? Whether you have it done at a dealer, or at an independent, just make sure they have the proper adapter to
fit the MM's wheels. Apparently, not all dealers have the right adapter, and I'd wager even fewer tire stores
have one. If they don't have the right adapter, they'll likely bugger the rims...

If its not alignment related, it could be that the bad tie rods were damping the road inputs some.

Sounds like bump steer, where the wheels experience an uneven toe change going over irregular (left/right) pavement. In bad cases, that can results in a very annoying over-amplified feedback through the wheel... sometimes feels like the steering wheel wants to steer itself. Freaking annoying...

Have them check for bent control arms or replacement tie-rods. If the original tie-rods were that out-of-whack, perhaps something else got bent too?

Also have them check for the steering rack unit sitting perfectly level and not offset to one side. Sometimes the rack can get pushed to one side, and even though the steering wheel is straight, it's only because the tie-rods have been offset accordingly... which nets you the different tie-rod total lengths that result in slightly different wheel arcs when going over bumps.

Try bouncing the front end on each corner. It should be firm but smooth going both up and down. With my wonderful Tokico shocks locking up, it bottoms horribly about half-way down the normal suspension travel. Makes for an extremely harsh ride. Hopefully my new shocks will arrive before my teeth fall out. :D
