F.Y.I.

I just figured I 'd let everyone know that our front OE tires (KDWS) are on sale again at Tire Rack. $89 per. At this price it's hard not to buy 2 extra fronts, for a later date. Of course I have no idea how long it will last, so, you snooze , ya lose.

Good to know, thanks.
Wonder if there will be a time that we can't get sizes for this car...

Please DO NOT give me a reason to call them back to upgrade my order.
"They will always have my size"
"They will always have my size"

:director: OK, everybody together now "They will always have our sizes"

Does any other car share these sizes?
300m?

Fronts???? Yes a few car companies share this size... it's the rears we really have to worry about, if you plan on staying with BFG's.

The fronts come on the new 18 stang wheels. Found that out when I ordered my GT.

Geez. I need new tires but those OEM ones really suck on center wear. Are the KDWS2's any better?

KDW2s wear evenly. I have 32k on my fronts and if it wasn't for the bad alignment from the factory I would have them on for another 10k, atleast. The rears wore in the center, had to replace them at 15k, but the fronts seem just fine. Have had KDW2 rears for 15k+ and they are wearing just fine.

Thank's for the info. Ordered a pair last night $89 each plus fee, tax and shipping. Posted on .org site for their info.

Heck, for that price I'm in for a pair. Yep, the KDW2s are nicer, but these are now less than half the price. Besides, the OEM fronts - at least for me - wore pretty well over about 40K. Remove the negative camber and I bet they go 50-60K. It's the OEM rears that sucked IMO.

Do we still have a link to tirerack.com that provides $$ back to MM.net?

Thanks for the enlightenment about this sale!

When tirerack put the OEM rears on for $89 in 04 I thougt about it. When they dropped to $82 I jumped on them. I think I'll wait a bit and watch.

I'll wager this is the lowest right now - 'specially since they are pushing the new tires and a bunch of people here just bought 'em.

Last time they jumped right back up to $131 or so right after a few bought some.

Even if they don't - you're waiting for $14?

Yea, don't really need them and may go with a different brand when I do. There are some nice other choices in that size.

The Tire rack site lists the following for the 2004 Marauder:
235/50WR18
245/55WR18
My M has original equipment tires:
235/50ZR18

Don't y'all have "Z's" on your Marauders:confused:
Let me know before I call Tire rack...
Thanks, architect

Fronts
235/50ZR18 is a slight upgrade in speed rating than 235/50WR18.
Rears
245/50ZR18 are a tad smaller in hight than my 245/55WR18

Well I'm not quit ready for new tires, but I decided to go ahead and order them...
Just for everone's information...
I had just priced a set (4) mounted and balanced at a local "large" tire dealer...
price was $950.00+-....
My order (front & rears) from "Tire rack" comes to $544.00 with shipping and road hazard coverage....
I bet I can get these puppies mounted for less than $400.00....:D
Thanks for the tip....
