I was looking thru the 2003 Marauder Brochure and noticed on the Specifications page it says Engine is Engineered by Roush.

Forget that, which genius was responsible for releasing calibrations that would make the early Marauders buck and fart black smoke off the line (and practically stalling) anytime the motor was still cold on a cool day?

Heck who was the engineer that forgot to give extra power, ala the '03/'04 Cobra's. Rated at 390 but had a lot more.
And what does DUW mean? Ain't seen that one before.

I added six pics to my gallery today, a side by side view of Roush's work on the Marauder. Upper and lower intake manifolds, these are pics of the upper. The Roush prototype from my Kenny Brown #1x is on your right, and a 2004 OEM upper manifold on your left. Minor, but visible differences, it looks better in person.

Sorry about the quality, I'm not much on taking pics. However, you should be able to download them and zoom in on the differences.
Roush is not responsible for programming, Ford engineers working at Roush did all that, as well as other things mentioned in this thread. They did the engineering on the manifolds to get the engine to fit under the hood while adhering to Mercury's traditional driver's side intake design.
F.Y.I...Carry on, gents.

How about engineering some ponies without the use of high test gas?
How about 4:10 gears from the factory? :mad2:
How about a damn manual transmission from the factory? :fire:

And all this time I've been thinking it was a mispelled Homer Simpson quote.
