There's just something about this car!.....
Awesome 65.I'd drive it. My step dad had a 67 Impala fastback looking beast with a 427 in it when he was younger, I wish he'd kept it.

That's impressive. The leverage is sure working against it.Yep...with an incredibly long wheelbase like those cars have, it takes a lot of HP to get those front skins in the air.

This Impala was/is owned by a guy named Nick Scavo here in Illinois. It is from a few years back. I think it was up for sale on ebay or something. Just based off the description of the car it is pretty impressive.

Just based off the description of the car it is pretty impressive.Yes, Nick Scavo it was, and it was often pictured in numerous car magazines about 6 or 7 years ago. I specifically remember one of those articles which stated that it was typical for the front tires of that car to be off the ground well past the 60 foot mark during a drag race.
Mr. Scavo had sold it, and I just recently saw it on an online car classified site up for sale for the amount of $65K.
