Well I'm back...............sorta :)

I don't know how long this link will work but here's the original Ebay auction

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=4601612108&rd=1&sspagename=STRK%3AMEWA%3AIT&rd=1

I sniped this auction at the last minute so I hope I didn't screw over anybody here...

It's an 88 Crown Vic P72 ex-cop car from North Carolina. I did a CarFax on it but it doesn't really give me the ownership details I was looking for.

It's cop a cop motor, cop suspension

5.8 engine, VV carb(freakin' sweeet!)....should be semi-fast...........

It was in Westminster, SC which coincidentally is only about 120 miles from Grand Mufflers of Georgia!

So I had the guy drive it to Grand Muffler so Todd can look it over and give me the  before I pay to ship it home......

So Todd's got it now, sez it looks real good.......................... ........

the dash pad is cracked badly but I knew that...........

Being the Ford Parts Dude that I am I found a new replacement already..........the last one in the country at a really small dealer in Jarratt Virginia...........wrong color but I'll dye it

So of course I'm gonna have him build me a really cool 2 1/2" full dual exhaust system before it comes home(it has duals now but they're stock & old(like me)

Planned mods are:
16" P71 wheels & caps (98-02 P71)
225/60R16 Goodyears
3.73 gears(should already have a limited slip diff) or maybe 3.55s
Bilstein shocks--cop grade all around
Urethane front sway bar bushings and endlinks
Some good cop brake pads
Alpine AM/FM CD XM satellite ready........already got it
1st Gen Lightning EFI

We'll post some new pics as soon as we get 'em............

Oh yeah.........the Subaru's gone now..........look for a thread titled "Elizabeth-Mo gets a new ride"

Nice and clean!
I hated to see my 1990 CV go last year, but selling it paved the way for this...

It's in good hands my friend (not mine.....but "Team Bryan & Brian") and the "initial surgery" has begun......

You seem ecstatic that it has a Variable Venturi carb. I had one on my old '79 GM 5.8 that was perfect until it took a ***** then nobody around these part knew jack about how to fix it!
Is a VV a good thing, really? I might still have the one we removed from my old GM.
Nice looking PI by the way.

AWESOME!!! I always wanted a 88-91 CVPI (P72). There was a red

88' on ebay not long ago, Calif. Fire car. Anyway, what ever you do

don't put those 98-02 CVPI wheels on it!!!! The 15' wheels with the

88-91 dog dish caps make the car look great. (retro-looking)

ENJOY!!!!

15 foot wheels???????

oh you mean 15 inches............check yer spelling

I can get more performance out of 16" tires.........but I know what you mean

It'll have the small caps if that's any consolation..............

Todd...............looks smokin' hot!!!

can't wait to :drive: :burn: :burnout:
and of course :hotrice:

I'm callin you as soon as I find out what's next...... :2thumbs:

I think my 1st long drive will be to Yuma for some

No GRAND stickers my friend. That's a T-304 Stainless, Custom Embossed plate that's been welded to your system. I've got Magnaflow stickers for ya, though....
