For you "newbies" who may not have seen this when it was posted several months ago. (no mention of weight, though?)

this was from Mercury...

Do You Fit the Mercury Marauder Customer Profile?

The Marauder Customer
The 2003 Marauder appeals to the customer who wants an aggressive, fast vehicle. They are pro-American and like to live on the edge. Marauder provides them with a great deal of driving pleasure while still meeting their concerns for safety and security, operating costs, easy ingress/egress and value for the money. This customer may have wanted a Mustang Bullitt or Cobra but really needs the passenger space. This page represents a close look at the demographics, needs, expectations and overall mind-set of the target Marauder customer.

Key Demographics
The Target Marauder customer tends to fit within these averages:

Gender - 80-85% male
Income -$60-80k
College educated - 60%
Married - 65%
Average age - 45
Target Customer
Marauder's target customer:

Is a performance vehicle enthusiast and has good technical sense
Is likely to do extensive research on most of his purchases
Will have a strong opinion on what he wants
Has to be active, have fun and be engaged in life
Needs to be true to himself, takes pride and gives 100% in whatever he does
Craves excitement and exhilaration
Has a need for authenticity, integrity and dependability from people, products and services
The target customer also responds primarily to these Passion Points:

Love for cars
Need to set themselves apart
Attention to detail based on knowledge
Need for quality and assurance
Spending time with family and friends
Cost and the Customer
The typical Marauder customer is cost-conscious and is often of the following mind-set:

Willing to pay a premium for a vehicle but only if it resonates closely with "who he is"
Higher priced products driven solely by image offer no appeal to him
Marauder will be part of the household fleet, so image and power are not his only concerns --- it must also have the functionality to accommodate his everyday needs
Cost of ownership is a consideration --- dependability and reliability are important to him --- he expects quality from the product he buys
Aftermarket kits will likely be purchased and will be considered part of the Marauder purchase

OK ladies and gents here is the very unoffical MM net. survey results...thanks for the replies...this is just for fun...this is who we are...68 responses 65 men, 3 women (if this is wrong, big sorry, will adjust if needed) 95.6 % men and 4.4% women...I did separate the data men/women...for the women first...no weight given, duh!...height 5'1" to 5'11" with average of 5'8"...age 42 to 50 w/average of 45.33...now for the men...height of 5'1" to 6'6" w/average of 6'0"...weight of 118 to 365 lbs w/average of 214.6 lbs...age of 16 to 74 years w/average of 41.2...this says most of us (using 95% upper and lower mean method) are 5'11" to 6'2" tall...202 to 227 lbs...37 to 44 years old...now for superlatives...youngest 16, notacop...oldest 74, cruzer...lightest 118 lbs merc406...heaviest 365 lbs, bigdogjim (noteables 2 others at 350+, mad3r and saxguy)...shortest 5'1", merc406...tallest 6'6", maddogjim, garagemahal and saxguy...we are a little taller, somewhat heavier (and I am uncertain about the age thing) than the normal...although from the comments on this site I can safely say we are not normal... for the OBTWs...Directedby-TMI, you got everyone going...Rich Long you are not a light weight at 260 lbs...and RF hows about firing up your special grill and put on some burgers and steaks for the skinnest MM owner/enthus.(5'11", 130 lbs) 'Chicken Bones' aka LML...

You're being a bit conservative here, Willie? Politically correct? Or, are some of these dimensions beginning to intimidate you?

If so, I agree, some of these muther's NEED a muscle car to get around! But, I don't sweat them any, at 5'09 and 200#, I can just knee cap 'em...

No pun intended? :D

I actually lost weight since owning my Marauder. Heavy payments and all, gotta cut back on food, heating, clothing, electricity (we cut the power to the house on alternating days), etc.
;)

Just kidding, the weight loss was just a coincidence, due to diet change. But to my co-workers, you gotta wonder if they're thinking I finally reached my critical mass of car expenditures!:o

Looks like that pretty much covers it in a nut shell. Except the dollars part

Tallness:6'4, Weight: 275, Age: 66.

Not the tallest, fattest, or oldest; but certainly solidly in the above average category.

However, if we consider, total score, then I declare myself the winner of tallest, fattest, oldest, combined. .....sort of like NASCAR, you don't have to come in first to win.

6'3" 270lbs. It would be interesting to see these stats categorised.....Although 6 ft plus and 200lb plus seems to be the "norm" around here.

For what its worth, thought I might share.

I've never really cared for smaller cars. Not a Mustang fan so much. I've always liked a car for long road trips and comfort, room, with storage space in the trunk. Also wants ease of use for any possible passengers (such as 4 doors). And power is always a plus :).

I have an 03. I'm male. My income isn't that high. I do have a degree. Not married yet and no family yet. I'm 32 years young. I'm about 5'6 and need to lose some weight, lol.

In college I started watching Speedvision and muscle car shows and began my love for cars. I love American muscle from the 60s and 70s and vintage police cars. Found out about the Marauder in an article in the paper (just chanced to see it) in about 2002 and knew I had to get one someday.

Would love to mod the car.

I really don't fit the living on the edge part. I don't take too many risks.
