I'm not trying to state anything by this post, I just found it really sad but hopelessly funny at the same time. Someone at BON posted a link to this.

Ah it's okay, just get some 2x4 pieces to act as shims between the bed and cab and drive it off.

It's better that happened on a lift than on the road.

I'm sorry but that's just funny! Oh yeah, good thing it did happen on the lift and not on the road.

I can personally attest to the good steel quality that used to go into Nissan and Toyota produts that were made in Japan -- NOT!!!! This may happen to Ford/Chevy/Dodge trucks, but I doubt that it would happen on a product less than 20 years old!
I can also personally promise to all of you that it will be a cold rainy day in HE#L when I ever buy another Japanese auto/truck product in my lifetime.
There, I feel better for venting.

My roommate has a '96 Nissan truck - has high mileage but looks immaculate. But, the rear of the frame is rusted out - a common problem on Nissan trucks. The frame itself looks like it's about as thick as a potato chip anyway...
I better show him why he needs to get that section fabbed and welded up. :)
