I used to love the heat, but based on recent events in my area I now love the cold.

I go outside in 32* weather with only small gym shorts on and work out.

According to the doomsday video The Jupiter Menace, the pole shift was supposed to happen on May 7 1996 when the Sun and planets were alighned.

Didn't happen.

They keep predicting the end of the world. 5/7/96 came and gone, Y2K- came and gone. The new end of the world date is supposed to be 2012. Wanna bet we are here in 2013?

Frankly it is a conspiracy. If everyone thinks the end is neigh, we will spend spend spend! Who cares about credit when the end of the world is around the corner - right?

Aint happenin.

"Earth's magnetic field is changing in other ways, too: Compass needles in Africa, for instance, are drifting about 1 degree per decade. And globally the magnetic field has weakened 10% since the 19th century."

http://science.nasa.gov/headlines/y2003/images/magneticfield/magneticstripes.gifSometimes the field completely flips. The north and the south poles swap places. Such reversals, recorded in the magnetism of ancient rocks, are unpredictable. They come at irregular intervals averaging about 300,000 years; the last one was 780,000 years ago. Are we overdue for another? No one knows.

Scientists have long known that the magnetic pole moves.
At the moment it's located in northern Canada, about 600 km from the nearest town: Resolute Bay.
etc, etc, etc....

Hmmm.... so we should rightfully be charging everyone each time they look at the compass on the roof consoles? Excellent...

Don't worry, if the magnetic poles suddenly flip, Chuck Norris can kick them back into the correct places. We'll be fine.

<!-- / message -->Does this mean we'll have to drive on the left side of roads when this happens? :D
