.. as I was in need of an oil change. Called them from my cell phone while in route, and they said they could get me in right away. :D
After pulling it in to the service bay, I got the usual; Hey, when you gonna wash that thing? It's filthy treatment (haha!).
I talked to my Salesman for a few, and walked back to the service area to nose around. The same guy that has always chaged my oil was hard at it and asked me about the Addco Sway Bars.
By this time there were 4 of us under the car talking about handling characteristics when one of the guys says: "Hey Mike, you gotta a screw in your tire!"
All eyes zeroed in on the left front tire, dead center of the tread width.
After removing the self-tapping screw, it did not appear to have gone deep enough, but my dumb luck and soapy water proved otherwise.
The plug kit comes out, and after a few minutes, hole was patched and air added. Soapy water confirmed no leaks, and the MM was then back on all four paws.
Six quarts of fresh oil added, and a few minutes later, I was paged to the cashier counter to square the deal.
Reviewing the receipt showed no tire work, just an oil change. :bows:
Signed the receipt, grabbed my keys and back to the service bay where the work was performed.
Handed my oil change guy a $5.00 spot, thanked him for his efforts and hit the door.
I got a good L/M Dealer as they always take care of me and the MM.
Mike.

They do like our rides and when we treat them with the respect, courtesy and friendliness they deserve they like us. Imagine that? Cultivating the service techs is only smart business. The do work on my car like it is their own. The 2 guys that work on my car and my service writer get to take me for a ride as we determine that the service level is satisfactory:D . They love that and the monkeys on the oil change rack don't have a chance to get near my car. The master Techs and my service writer make sure of that. I also get that special attention...like detailing after service, n/c. Gotta love it. Plus, they tell me they have my back on warrentee issues. A MAJOR ISSUE PLUS. Hope I don't have to find out. Dennis:)

I've spent a lot of mod money at my dealership, and I have never been disappointed. 'Cept that they won't stop calling me "Mr. Mc Carthy". Everytime they do, I'm looking around for my father...
I love the guys at my dealership, and I think they like me. "Buying lunch" every once in a while, is a good thing.

Last time I went to the dealership they broke something on one side, and the speaker on the other side is raspy at louder volumes now.
But the man that arranged for me to get serviced was wonderful :)

Where the heck do I find a dealer where they allow the customers to actually meet the mechanic that works on his car????

My L/M dealer has been good to me also. Now their maintenance bay has been modified to Porche service specs, since they are now a Porche Dealer.
Each mechanic also now has two lifts to work with. With this set up of they are waiting for parts for one car, they can work on another car without moving it out of a stall or off a lift. Efficiencies inplace

It's nice that the dealer guys took care of you. But now take that tire to a tire repair shop and get that plug our of there and have them repair it with a vulcanized patch. I've heard way too many stories from guys who had the plugs come out of their tires. Not what you want, especially on a high perf car with expensive tires. The local shops around here all do the plug reapir free. The plugs are cheap and fast to install, it makes it seems like good customer service. But they know you'll be back when the plug comes out, then they'll sell you a new tire or two or four!

Our local L/M dealer is a joke as far as L/M goes. They do pretty good work, but it's no secret the emphasis is on their "other" line of vehicles. TOYOTA ! I knew they were building a nice new large dealership on the loop, but last night I learned the new dealership is for Toyota only, not the L/M line. The L/M line will stay at the old location. Shows you were the sales are. :(

Seems like you get the same respect at Rizza as I get from Napleton, and I'm not really surprized. It's really the same group of wrenches, and they all like being treated fairly. BTW, I bought my #3 from Rizza in North Riverside, and got a great deal.
It hasn't been a perfect relationship with Napleton, I've had a few beefs with them over the past 20 years. Nonetheless, still a really nice bunch of guys who I have no reluctance in sharing some time with them as people trying to do their jobs right.
Zack swears by his "guys" at Van Drunen. Must be that we know how to get things done in our neck of the woods?

Thank You!:D
I can get you a speaker, if it's needed!
Sorry about the panel, should be in soon.

The first and last time my car was at the dealer, I found the lube tech opening my DVD Screen and blasting the radio, and revving the motor.
Then he looked over and saw me glaring at him.
