So I had a blow out over the weekend. Thanks goodness everyone is okay including the Marauder... Having just replaced all tires two months ago I was happy to hear the tire was covered under warranty by the shop (Discount Tire These guys RULE) Come to find out the tire is out of stock at all stores and on backorder at the Rack. Does anyone know what the deal is with the rears? Are they not being produced anymore? BTW the front tires are on sale right now at the rack for 89 bucks a throw. Wish I had gotten that two months ago!

Glad to see another Marauderer near by...Sorry to hear about the tire hassels....I thought the fronts were harder to get. I should order a set through Tire Rack as I have just discovered a front tire wear problem...they had been doing just fine...have 22K on the original set now, some one has some spec's for a front alignment. I need to search the thread so my dealer can adjust the front for me... Mike

I saved my half-good fronts from my recent 4 wheel tire replacement and have a set of new rears hoarded for the future just in case they stop making them.
Good luck in finding a new set.

Dave

purdue,
I recently moved my Nitto NT-555's (255/45ZR18's) from the rear up front and bought a new set for the rear hoping the little bit of wear would fool the T/C....NADA!!:argue:
I have them all around and the car will tell ya when you forget to turn the T/C off....."Limp Mode".....but turn it off and ZOOOOOOM!!!
I have 13K miles on the ones on the front now and had spun them quite a bit when on the rear...still have about 3/4 of the tread left!! :bows:
I will never go back to the BFG's since they are hard to get and wear poorly!!
Nittos are readily available and much smoother also!!;)
You may want to consider this alternative??

Its probably because the State of Florida has purchased them all for the 25 or so FHP Marauders. :puke: You never know. It could be true. Where is FHP getting all their tires? You must know that they wear them out much faster than most guys like you and me.

Marauderjack:burnout:I agree. I have the Nitto's 555 extreme perf 295 for the rear and 255 for the front. Now all I need to do is get them mounted on the car. I am waiting a few more weeks for the weather to turn a bit more consistently warmer.:D
