All it is is a potentiometer to chage the voltage of the IAT so that it "thinks" the incoming air is colder.

Just move the sensor and be done w/ it.

What a sham.

Who'd need a Trilogy, Procharger or Vortec??? I coulda spent my $200 on these instead of trying my luck in the raffle.

Can't call it snake oil, 'cause all it does is tamper with the IAT readings and force open/closed loop states, and that will change your driving experience. Whether this change is an improvement or not, or even healthy for the engine, remains to be seen.

If it seems to good to be true, it's not.

Please don't chastise me for this, but for the purposes of pure amusement only, I bought one of those and put it on a 1990 Dodge Dynasty, (or "Die-Nasty" as my brother called it (it was his car)) with a 6 banger in it. The install was a thing of beauty, using duct tape, zip ties, and some plastic r.v. sewer hose we bought at wal-mart. (I'm laughing just typing this). I have to say that it seemed like at idle, (and at idle only) there was an infinitesimal increase in power. Certainly not worth the $120 I spent on it, but hey, the laughs were worth at least that, and now we know better too. Of course, this is from the same people who, after I bought my K and N intake, put my JLT on my brother's 1990 Olds Delta 88 with a 3.8. (It's amazing what you can think of when there's nothing else to do, especially with me being an aircraft mechanic and him being an automotive mechanic). I think the cold air on that car did better than the squirrel cage fan rehashed as a supercharger did on the Die-Nasty, (which by the way, is now a cube :D ). Attached is a pic of the latter install. It actually went in rather nicely....
Ah well, here's to having fun with beaters!

Do neither. It can cause your computer to add more timing causing possible pinging/detonation.

One of the negative feedbacks for this item said he was appalled that all he got for his $170 was a $30 bilge blower...I knew that electric "supercharger" looked familiar; I have 2 of them in my boat's engine compartment!

Hooked to your intake manifold?

Bastage...

Yah, they blow the fumes from the head into the intake and give me 100 more HP!

I wish GM would let us use their 100 miles per gallon carburetor ;) . Combined with those 500 cfm (dual?) bilge pumps we would have both power and mileage! I wonder if a Turbinator added to the intake and a fine mesh screen would super-supercharge the intake?
