Since NONE of the SC kits are CARB-certified for California Marauders, what is everybody doing on their upcoming smog inspection? How will they pass the visual? By only getting checked at a "special" shop? I'm really dying to get a supercharger now, but what happens when the smog guy/CHP/state inspector says, "You have to pull that out."

Id say thats a great reason to hang onto all your original parts and be sure you can easily swap to stock for the inspect. Then back again?

In that case, i think you could have a spare tune made for your injectors and fuel pump for N/A; and have your stock belt on a shelve.
That way, in case of a checkup, You would just have to take the blower off and some (all?) pipes for a quick back up to N/A. If you choose the Vortec, you would have to adress the oil lines, with the ATI you don't.
Taking off the blower is a 15-20 minutes affair. No big deal at all. For the pipes, a little more.
