I've never seen a black Marauder with the light gray interior. Was it available, or was the dark charcoal interior required with black paint?

Was it available, or was the dark charcoal interior required with black paint?2003 300As were black with dark charcoal interior only. 2003 300Bs, which were available starting ~Nov. 2002, thru the end of the 2004 models, were available with light flint as an interior option.

2004's offered either the Light Flint or Charocal interiors.

/\ What she said /\

The first MM's(300A's) were all black w/dark charcoal.

Before the end of the 03 model year when they were all now 300B's, the light flint interior was offered, along with the silver birch & blue pearl exterior paint.

While there are some out there ... I have seen very few black w/the light flint. Much more common to see light flint with the blue or silver 03's & the dark torreador red 04's in my experience.(04 silvers too of course').

Getting ready to pick one up Jon ?.

I see you updated your signature ......

Where's that cool "Dr Oldsmobile" / 70 442 thing you use on CVU ?

;)

Ever since meeting Greg down in KC and seeing his DTR with the light flint, I've wantet that color. What exactly has to be swapped to end up with the light flint interior?

Just curious.

I think seats only. I never noticed anything different such as door panels or dash trim.

It would be great if two of you out there with the two different trims could sit them side-by-side and make a comparison. I suspect the carpet is different and maybe the headliner, but I just can't remember even after sitting in Greg's.

Thanks!

John, Everything above the bottom window line is Light Flint. Carpeting and door liners are dark. Dash is the same. Dennis

It's an awesome car, all original paint, tight as a drum, and lots of equipment. It was owned by a small town in OH that obviously did not cover much ground. http://www.jdubya.net/temp/89cvside.jpg

I own one of the rare 2003 300B black with light flint interior MM. I was looking at 3 new MMs at the local Ford dealer (yes Ford dealer) in July of 2003. They had all been there for months and looked it. Two had black interior and one was light flint. I had a chance to compare the two interiors and deceided on the light flint due to the heat of the summers in Atlanta. The interior on a light interior is 30 degrees cooler then a black interior. That made up my mind plus my son liked the constrast between the black exterior and light interior. But, If I lived up North again I would have gotten the black interior. I basically prefer a black interior, but the summer heat is brutal here on black cars and interiors.

I have the black interior, but I like the light flint alot, it breaks

up the interior. I think the light flint looks esp. good in a black car :)
