OK....winter has been cruel to my 03 Blue.... Noticed several small paint chips in hood and deck lid
What is the best way to handle this...Not ready yet to repaint the whole car...any good body shops in the Metro Detroit area that fellow members would trust? Or should I buy some touchup paint :( Any & all suggestions welcome

Touch up paint, a rag to wipe it off in case you screw up, and a steady hand.
I alsouse a mild rubbing compund (like Meguairs prewax cleaner) to smooth it down after it's completely dry.

i just recieved a product called the blob eliminator which claims to make a paint chip repair virtually undetectable.. I am going to try it this weekend and I will let you know how it works. You can read about it at www.langka.com

I'll be curious to hear how it works. I've got a couple of hood rock chips I'd like to fix on my Silver Birch 04
Thanks

Mother's has the same system. I've used it and it works good.

P.S. It's only $13.95.

I vistied my local Advanced Auto Parts store in search of a good car wax to help cover up the chipping. They now have the new "Black Box" by Turtle Wax. It's a four stage wax that uses black rubbing liquid. Took me about 2-3 hours to do the car, but looks great! Chips are all covered up the best it can be, and the car stays clean for while, plus has the "show room shine" look. The kit was only $19.99. Best wax i've seen yet.
