OUCH!:coffee:
I hope it was a mistake. Such an action, if done on purpose, is deserving of punishment. We don't live in the dark ages.
Don't get me wrong. Purse snatching is wrong. But if what that officer did was on purpose then it was the same exact thing, in terms of lethal force, as drawing his pistol and opening fire.
Best,
Dan
PS: I know that the official statement was that the truck slid but I have a little bit of a hard time believing that is 100% true. The video does not seem to show, at least to me, that the truck was sliding. It didn't seem to have any trouble stopping after the fact.

Too bad his legs were not ripped off, thrown up in the air and then land on his head cracking his skull open.
If I was driving the truck I would have backed up over him.....a couple dozen times.

I think the law enforcement community is getting tired of treating hardened criminals with great care to avoid lawsuits. We don't really know HOW long this guy was being foot-chased. BUT... It was brought to an end without harm to the cop. On more than one occasion, I have seen footage of a suspect being knocked off his feet to aid capture, this clown just happened to fall under the pursuit vehicle. I don't condone beating criminals up or slamming their heads in the door- it does happen but they probably deserve it more times than not.

It looks to me like the suspect threw himself at the truck just to create a case for a law suit for police brutality.:) That's my story and I'm sticking to it.
that's what you get for hitch hiking
