Well it is bound to happen sometime. Kids are learning more, learning faster, soon they are smarter than their parents. I just did not expect it so soon.

Driving down the highway last night my son looks at the car dealership and says "Look, a McLaren SLR!" I only got a quick peek and said "No, it can't be". He was rather adamant, and so was I. On the way home I got a better look, HOLY SNIKES! It was a McLaren SLR . I think the torch is officially passed to the younger generation, I am destined to fade away into the sunset. Maybe if my son is not too busy we can go to the dealer today and look at the car close up. They are beautiful and full of engineering trickery.

Here is a link to a detailed write up of the car

The highlights are $450,000, 600+ hp, fast, quick, rare (less than 500/year) and gorgeous.

Here is a nice picture of the car

By the way my son will turn seven next week. Here is a picture from this past December

I do love him, I guess I need to respect him now also.

Good for you!
I have 3 car nuts for sons.
Problem is , 2 of them have licenses, and are constantly badgering me for the keys to the Marauder:eek:
BTW, is that a Mexican Beetle your son is standing in front of?

More room in the Bug for a family than in the SLRs. I would need two MBs just for me .... one for each foot...14W....Think of all the Marauders that the MB$ would buy. I want a Panther with four wheel drive and a 5.4 engine...have time , no money... Ha... RAM

They will think that they are smarter than you until they hit that magic age of 24-25. Then, they come to realize that maybe, just maybe you really knew what you were talking about all those teen and in-between years.

Enjoy 'em while they are young .... they grow up way too fast !!! :D

I knew my oldest Son was doing ok, when he first ran to the T.V., pointed and yelled "Daddy....say Ford". He's 23 now and my youngest Son is 19 and have a 25 yr old Daughter...............ALL drive Ford products.
