Saw my first blue Marauder yesterday out & about. It was sitting at the LubePros on the corner of Rt 176 & Midlothian in Mundelein. That's the first one I've seen in this area for months. Any other owners from these parts?

Jrzygrl,
You might spot my Marauder out at the Sycamore Speedway on a Friday night this summer. I try to get out there a few times each year to watch the spectator racing. It's a riot.

Mad man, I plan to get in on the Union Grove caravan next month. Already cleared it with the Mrs.

Hey Topher, Ole Blow Joes might be a good place for a Saturday get together. What do you guys think?

Tim,

My next couple of weekends are pretty tied up. The first one to mourn the passing of my 20's, and the next to celebrate my son's first birthday.
I've never heard of Ole Blow Joes. Where is it?

Blow Joe's is what we affectionatly call Sycamore Speedway. It was owned by Bob and Joe Fabrizius, but I think they have both passed away. I do know that the family still ownes it tho.

Gotcha. Now I remember the sign for Bob & Joe's out front. I haven't been there on a Saturday yet. We usually go watch the spectator races on Fridays. Nothing like redneck racing where about the only time the caution flag comes out is when someone flips over or catches fire. If a car stalls on the track, the driver just has to hold on tight until the heat is over. All this with just a lap belt & helmet. Usually pretty entertaining.
