I know that mm net has quite a few police officers that are members......I am beginning the process for becoming a LAPD officer, and was wondering if anyone had any advice for the interviewing process or exams. I would appreciate any direction to valuable resources such as; books, experiences, websites, etc. that you might have.
Thanks

I respect your query, but I must tell you that this is not the place to ask such a question, or, take any advice. Good luck to you in your endaveor.

I'll agree with Mac on that. But I'll tell you this; use common sence and tell the truth during the process and after. You'll be fine.

Go to the nearest division station and request a drive-along. You will have to sign a release of liability form and they will schedule you with an experienced officer. During your shift ask him as much as you can with specific emphasis on officer safety and use of force. When you take the orals just be yourself and be honest. It's all a matter of will power (how badly do you want it). Good Luck!
