Interesting Mustang 3rd Taillight

Driving into work this morning, I got behind a blue 2005 or 2006 Mustang GT. I noticed something different with the 3rd brakelight on his trunklid. Upon closer look, the 6-8" lightbar said "Mustang" with the running horse on either side whenever the brakes were applied. First time that I have seen this effect. Kinda nice. :up: Anyone else seen one of these?? :dunno: Sorry -- no pics.

I've seen similar on other cars, I know there was a company that made them for Grand Am GT's when I had one of those.

I think they're color-matched decals that you just apply over the lens. Pretty cool idea. There are companies that make laser cut vinyl decals like that, many allow custom orders.

You know for that matter, it probably wouldn't be too hard to get one of these places to make black vinyl decals for the tail lenses for those who want the S55 effect. Or silver/dtr/blue for that matter.

BTW ... eBay® has the decals that go over the CHMSL.

Just found a site that supplies them ..... it's only a decal that allows the light to be backlit.

Uhhhh, yeah sort of ... it's not really high ... but centered on the lip of the trunklid. :rolleyes:
