After waxing my Marauder I am always left with whitish streaks on all the plastic parts (around rear view mirrors, keyless entry panel and bottom moldings) and I cannot remove them no matter how hard I try.

I try not to get wax on said items in the first place but it still happens.

I heard olive oil removes these white streaks but it didn’t work for me.

I did a search, all I found was Zaino Zaino Zaino. Please tell me that you are joking about the peanut butter.

I heard the same thing. Peanut butter. I have not tried this yet. Hey, Cola w/ tin foil can remove rust from a chrome bumper - seen it on myth busters.

Try "Back to Black" by Mother's. Its best NOT to get any wax on the plastic,

it can become perminent. 1) Use a degreaser on the plastic w/ a tooth

brush. 2) Rinse clean & dry with towel. 3) Apply a thin coat of 'Back to

Black' (or tire gloss if you can not find 'Back to Black.')

I used to work at a body shop in the detail area. This was a big problem

for people who waxed at home...

Wrap your index finger in a clean soft cloth and dip it into 100 percent vinegar, and wipe the offended trim. Dry it off.

I will vouch for peanut butter, it really does work. I used it on my rocker mouldings and on the keypad.
Just be sure to get it all off, or the squirrels will go crazy

Pnut butter works cuz of the oil in it. Sweetened pnut butter will trade the wax residue for sugar residue.

Do what Mac said with the cloth or a Qtip, but use some Black Magic Tire Wet or Meguire's purple tire shine on the plastic. Neither will harm paint and both will add shine.

The residue of these type of produts on the plastic will also help prevent the wax sticking in the first place next waxing.

I've heard the acid concern before, but it's not a problem. Vinegar is great for cleaning off old wax and soap residue after a wash. Everytime I wash my MM, it gets rinsed with a diluted solution of vinegar and water, maybe a pint per gallon. And, it's great on the Megs tips and polished wheels as well.

Well, I could not find "white" vinegar (only red) at home and decided to give the peanut butter a chance.

Result? It works!!! Next wax I will make sure to pick up some White Vinegar and report those results as well.

Thanks for all of the help.

Doesn't have to be white vinegar...If it's good for your salad dressing, use it. Around here, white vinegar is the cheapest.
