Hey everyone,

For those of you that posted replies to my front end popping noise thread, here is the outcome. After 2 seperate trips to the dealer in the past 2 weeks they finally found the problem. The problem was something noone else suggested yet so this is a new one to consider for all of you with the same thing. Basically, my front end was "popping" every time I'd back the car out of my driveway or parking space. It wasn't related to any incline, it would happen on all surfaces. Eventually it started making the same noise going forward and esp. around corners.

So, the dealer found some body mounts and bolts in the front end that were not torqued to spec, so that was the first attempt. Two days later, it was back in the shop for the same thing. This time they totally replaced all of the body mounts/bolts and installed them to correct torque specs and now the problem is gone! I've had the car back for a week and it hasn't made a sound since!

Thats a new one. I never heard of body mounts going bad on a car thats not even 5 yrs old yet.

Something to look for now
Thanks

That's nothing...I had an extra body mount sandwiched between the frame and body on my car. My MM has some serious quality control issues.
