Check out what some of our boys overseas did to their helicopter.
Some Afghan is probably freaking out rightabout now.

Yup,.. I've got very close to some 'Hinds' when I was in Kosovo/Macedonia in '01. They are truely bad ass. They're basically a flying tank.

Back in 1988, a buddy of mine (armor officer) was on a visit to Berlin. As he was passing through Checkpoint "Charlie" into the eastern sector, one of these bad boy Hinds popped up from behind a building about 500 or so meters away. He said he nearly shat himself right on the spot .... he had a "view that no tanker ever wants to see" as the Russian helicopter nosed over briefly then disappeared back into the distance. I believe that he recalled his exact words as "Oh **** !!!" :D
