Anybody seen this before. On my 03 Grand Marquis the lower control arm bushing's casing is splitting at the narrow end around the circumference. Its aluminium as is the arm its pressed into. the front suspension on this car looks like the one on my Marauder which BTW are not splitting.
I guess it could be from when they installed them it just seems odd I never noticed it before.

Mine was just replaced at the dealer. Every time I steped on the brakes
or pull out of my driveway it would pop/click. Do you get this??

The cracks in the bushing housings are getting worse & I found a small crarck in the arm itself, so today I took it to the dealer & they will replace both lower control arms Im also keeping & eye on the marauder but no signs of trouble yet

Are we talking about front or rears here? Sounds like he could be talking about fronts?

Yeah, I read it as the fronts too. Iffin it's the rears, and you want a set of MM Stockers, I have two complets sets available.

Z&M control arms are for the REAR end are they not?
Looks like the problem is with the front LCA. I would get that replaced ASAP.

Thier is a TSB on this concern, if I recall.
The rulling I got when I inquired about this being present on my car;
tHIS IS CONCIDERED A COSMETIC (sorry), defect not necessarily a safety issue.
Ford will only replace them, if they fail to perform.
I assume this means if they become loose and/or noisy.
