Hey Donny, With those quad fart cans, I'd have gone for it in a minute.
Um, next time I visit, let me take it to the car wash. I'd love to see what happens when the big mother brush gets tangled up in the wing, and snatches that thing off the ground .... round & round she goes.

:thinker: Might make a good AD idea for the German VW dude.

Yes, I've known about it for some time. I helped arrange two tours of the plant that happened at the beginning of March which were pretty amazing. I was unable to attend because I wasn't able to get off of work, but the two groups of owners got a personal walking tour of both the plant and ASC's facility, got to meet and talk to assembly line people, even were interviewed by local TV and GM's internal TV news system.

On March 17 there was a closing ceremony at which some owners were invited to attend. GM gave the third to last built SSR to a plant employee in a raffle, the second to last built is being auctioned for charity, and the last built (a loaded black over silver two tone) goes to the GM Heritage center along with a hood from a yellow SSR that was signed by over 200 owners at last year's WDC.

Last VIN production number was 24,112 so add in the 25 special edition models that were hand built and sold to customers, the total production of sold or saleable units was 24,137.

Last production model available for sale to the public, along with the designer of the concept (left) and an SSR owner from NY:

Tom, Donny is very serious..and who can blame him. NO ONE would want to own an unpopular, out of production..failure of sales projections and built to only half of its performance potential motor vehicle...would they???:D :D :D
