Maybe this will be my cue to start actually participating in discussions, and quit being a lowly lurker.
Thanks to those who made it happen!

Thanks, Mary, and the local folk here who requested this section. It's now a new home to post for us CAMMERS. What about the CAM web site? Is it still alive? Has it been updated?

Yeah, our own CAM forum for the Capitol Area Marauders. Now all we have to do is get it spelled correctly.

Ok Charlie spelling 101.

Capitol: refers to the Capitol Building.
Capital: refers to the Capital area; as in state capital, the nations Capital...etc.

If you notice on sme of the CAM shirts are spelled one way and some the other way. OH well. :dunno:

http://dictionary.reference.com/search?q=capital

Gordon is right, but then again there is some logic in stating we *are* the "Capitol" Area Marauders since we are in the "Area" of the "Capitol"

Someone in Sacramento could be a "Capital" Area Marauder since they're near California's state capital... ;)

So I guess either way works fine :)

Technically the "ol" spelling is more unique and hard to mis-interpret as us being from Idaho.

Edit: Not that I have anything against Idaho.

We have shirts??
You gotta show up more in the spring and summer months, Keith. That's when we take off the leather jackets, sweaters, parkas and flannel shirts.

My shirt says "Capitol". It has a pic of the "Capitol" dome. My signature says "Capitol". Haggis' signature says "Capitol". Our old website said "Capitol" (but I don't know where it is anymore). The closest dragstrip is "Capitol Raceway" .... OK Mason-Dixon is close and so is Cecil County and Bud's .... but that ain't in our name.

So I vote to give us the big "O"

Even our baseball team is known as the "O's".

If you make it Capital ... my shirt will be defective.

I did not mean to seem mean, was joking with you also. ;)

Chris is taking orders so if anyone would like a CAM t-shirt just PM her (LadyHawke) and let her know your size and what name you would like embroided on the front, if any.

The front of the T-Shirt is plain with your screenname over the left chest area. Here's a pic of the "Son of Bluerauder" with his shirt. MarauderMark used to have a pic of the back of the shirt in his gallery; but I don't see it anymore after the gallery "incident" back in 2005 that lost alot of pics.
