I do believe that the red one was a Detroit car. Anyway, our cars keep getting rarer and rarer.

Actually it is. You knew the owner?

It looks like both cars rolled, perhaps several times! Would the wheels have anything to do with that, or was driver error the main culprit?

First time posting and love this site. Just got back from Ft. Collins Colorado where I flew in to Denver, rented a Focus and drove to Ft. Collins, then bought my 04 DTR MM with 13.700 miles and drove it home to Seattle. It now has 15k and talk about a cruiser...80mph on cruise control and this car is smooth as silk. I do want those god's heads on that wrecked red one though.

Note the rear tire of the black MM. Bald as a Baby. On top of that, I think handling is compromised when these rims are sticking out that far from the car and lifted up. Take example this black vic I saw the other day.

Definitely not a stock ride height. COmbine that with poor driving, probably makes for a poor center of gravity.

Man that is rough to look at with how bad those MM's are smashed. Guess someone was going a little to fast and it looks like they were rolled.

Contact CAR Motorsports (Rich or Alan) immediately. They may have a set or two left. There is a front listed by them on Ebay now. You can get a better deal direct as a member here if they have any left. Good luck Dennis...do a search God's Heads Emblems, etc.

I like how they painted the interior panals in the DTR colors to match
the paint.

Sad to see.
As someone else noted, our cars seem to be getting rarer by the day...

I didn't know the owner. I just know how to spot the work of the bodyshop that does the work. The biggest giveaway are the MM Gods head on the front. That is the work of De-Tech Collision.
BTW, if you look at the black one the front tire is on backwards. The tread pattern is going the wrong way.

It seems that all that extra rim and tire combo equals some squirrelly handling. Also, that rear tire on the first car doesn't look like it has much tread.

I am also thinking that very tall tire/wheel combos raise the center of gravity a little bit, allowing for easier rollovers.

Damn that hurts to see. O well ours just got more exclusive. Anyone know how many MM have met their demise ? 11052 - ?? = ???

Stats for all passenger cars is that 85% still on the road at 10 years. If that applies to MMs, means 9400 will still be on the road in 2013.

Probably going to fast and tried to brake but the stock brakes on huge tires and rims you have big rolling mass and with such big rims that mass is placed much farther out from the middle = much less braking efficiency
If you're doing huge rims like that you should plan for a brake upgrade otherwise the mod is really "show AND go" in the sense that you'll not be able to stop.

When I saw those wheels, first thing I thought is that the MM was so ashamed - they both committed suicide.

LOL yeah, I'm thinking the same thing. I can't imagine anything more vomit-inducing than a beautiful car that's been totaled with huge ugly rims...ugh, I need a shower just looking at that....

Looks like the cage didn't crush and provided good protection for occupants in a fairly high speed and violent crash.

I'd LOVE to see the Collection Thus far. Maybe you can start a "Wrecked Marauder Thread" with pics only. And then we can lobby to make it a sticky.
