I found another set complete. was thinking of trying to buy. BUT, this was the same set that sold awhile back. Same pics. The weird thing is the guy said he didnt sell them but they both (buyer and seller) had positive feedbacks. Kida leary about trying to buy these. What do you guys think of the whole deal???

I was bidding on this set the first time it was listed. I got some scam messages regarding a second chance if I Western Unioned cash to England.

Not sure if it is related to the auction owner. Check out his feedback and it appeared he "sold" them to a friend who gave him positive feedback.

I would proceed with caution. Maybe someone in the Kansas City, Independence MO area could verify the existence of the parts and seller?

I PM'd this guy and asked if he would sell two for $400.00 and he replied......"What would you offer for two wheels?"

Am I missing something here?? :shake:

I would be careful with this character!!

"These wheels should fit any year."

He must have inadvertently left out the "as long as it's 2003 or newer" part...

Either he's a moron or a scam...

I'm new to the forum, just got a 04 silver marauder with 11k miles on it from Victoria Texas "it was on autotrader". Will be selling wheels which are in awsome condition no curb rash or much wear on the tires either. Would anyone be intrested and what would be a fair price? I'm going aftermarket.

I was bidding on a picture and I put in a bid of $250, well I was the highest bidder for 3 days until about 5 minutes before the end of the auction, Then a bid came in of $280, I bid $300 and that was the most I would spend, well a "unknown bidder" bid $305 and I lost the auction. not a big deal except not even 2 minutes after the auction ended, I recieved a e-mail saying that the winner could not purchase the item and I was offered a second chance.
I promptly told the person that he could shove his picture up his a$$ sideways because I was on to him that he was the mystery bidder trying to raise the price of his own item and screwed himself.
I have had this happen a few times and its just people trying to make more money on their auction. I always put the maximum amount that I feel the item is worth and if I lose it, Whatever, Ill find another.
Sometimes if a item isnt going for the amount of money the seller is expecting, they will pull the item. I lost a set of new rear tires that I almost had for $155. a hour before the end of the auction, the item was pulled.
Too many shady things on ebay
buyer beware.

WELCOME ABOARD!

If you are wanting to sell your Wheels and Tires, posting them in the Classifieds Section would be a good idea. Fair Price - $200ish each?????

Report this guy!

eBay is only as good as the 'eBay Community' polices it.

Interesting. The 'Western Union' request for funds is clearly a big red flag....
