April 30th CAM Meet

Although it looks like it limited engagement from the voting on the last poll, the April CAM meet is set to go for Sunday, 30 April, at 2pm.

For those that did not make last years visit to Bert's 50's Diner, it's a great little place full of old car memorabilia and a (1949/1950?) flaming Mercury on the roof. The place serves a wide variety of food and great ice cream but sorry.... no beer.

Bert's in located on Route 5 North, in Mechanicsville, MD, about 2 miles south of the Route 6 intersection. It's about 10-15 miles south of Route 301 from Waldorf.

Anyone needing more detailed directions from your location, just PM me.

Please vote on the poll so I can give them a head count.

I made last years meet, but was still driving my '96 S10 Blazer because my new DOHC engine was still sitting on my garage floor!
I'm not sure if I will be able to make it this year, but if I do, I WILL be driving my Marauder.

i just bought my affordable dream car, a.k.a. Marauder and should be able to attend. but if i dont have it for some strange reason, i'll still be there with the tank of justice!

OOOoooooooo...I like the picture of the diner. I want a picture of a Marauder doing a burnout in front of the diner with that hot-rod Merc on the roof. ;) It just so happens my car is willing to do that, trusting the owner of that joint doesn't mind. :)

Thats right, my lil sis' may want to go and believe it or not my mom expressed interest in coming along - guess she keeps hearing about all these CAM meets and wants to see what all the buzz is about. Or maybe I just don't call home enough. :dunno: :D

Was good to meet you too, your CV is sweet, with a very large stack of timeslips to boot. :)

We had a great time too, my mom and lil sis enjoyed the diner and the cars. My mom had a good enough time she didn't get mad when I left some of my rear tires behind either. ;)
