The Bricklin SV-1, apart from being overweight and strange, omitted an interior feature that was common on almost every car of the period. Malcolm Bricklin says that he omitted this feature because it was safer. What was this feature?

I know SV-1 stood for Safety Vehicle 1st design. I think Padded dash??
