What are y'all cookin' for Easter Dinner?
I've got a spiral sliced ham smokin' on the grill as we speak.
Also on the menu is fresh asparagus, cheesy potatoes and biscuits.
For dessert it's a glazed sour cream cake.
Might have a few beers later on for an appetizer...:D
Gettin' hungry!!!

HAPPY EASTER!!!!

We're deep frying turkeys. A buddy wanted to get her fryer going so a bunch of us bought turkeys. There will be turkey, garlic mashed potatoes, saffron cole slaw, fresh french bread (from the machine), green beans with almonds, and custard pie.

Well, let's see:

30 oz Porthouse on the grill (the steak came from the in-law's ranch in central Nebraska where it was grain fed for 280 days before it went to the butcher)
WEBER grilled baked potatoes
Fresh asparagus also
Beets
Salad
Lobster Bisque for an appetizer
Homemade buttermilk biscuits
And for dessert homemade vanilla custard Ice Cream with homemade cherry pie
Also included would be a bottle of Clos du Bois Merlot...I'm full :food:

Cigarettes and coffee for breakfast and lunch.

Maybe I'll fry up a venison burger later. (but then I'd have to get dressed, since frying stuff kind of requires it).

I'd died for a piece of Easter Cheese.... can't remember the last time I had it. Not too hard to make. If ya can make scrambled eggs you can make Easter Cheese. Wife made it for the first by herself this year.

I went my brother's house and I took a chicken that I roasted. He had fried chicken, a spiral Honeybaked ham, greens, sweet potatoe pudding, homemade cornbread. To top it off we had a Key-Lime pie that I took also.

I had a true southern dinner or close to it. Granny's chicken and dumplins were the main course with a ham on the side for those who wouldn't eat dumpins. Also we had baked beans, macaronni salad, and wonderful cornbread. As for dessert my aunt made a delicious chocolate cake.

Basically it was Thankgiving all over again. The only exception to this was my Mom's experimental apple cake that was undercooked and collapsed.
